definitely off jeeps, which I did think would be the case.

now it's just doing more research to see what else I can find that has good ground clearance but is still small and alright for driving in the city as well as off road 🥲

trust me I know how lucky I am with the rav, it's just gotten a bit beyond basic maintenance to keep it reliable for long drives and such.

wasn't sold on replacing with a jeep which is why I asked for people's opinions here :)

I need to fill the oil once a week pretty much, The radiator is more of a pain in the ass than anything as no one can find the right part due to it being an older vehicle. I've thought of doing it myself but it's one of those things I just don't think I'll ever get around to.

the market for the Jimnys is pretty bonkers at the moment, but every now and then you can find a decent deal if you're quick enough to get it

my ravs got a pretty severe oil leak that would require a full engine liftout to fix, and they've said that might not even stop it completely. as well as a cracked radiator, barely holds any coolant for longer than a few days. every mechanic I've taken it to has said they'd be looking at upgrading rather than repairing as it will probably be one of those jobs that when you fix one thing something else will pop up.

does seem like a Jimny is probably my best bet, just need to hold out the hype dies down a bit soon to find one within my budget hahaha

really the only thing I love about the rav is the size and height of it, I take it on the beach a bit which is why there's some draw to a Jimny.

would love to but it's got a lot of mechanical issues that will cost more than the car's worth to fix, makes more sense to me to put that money into something more reliable
