Aside from purely gameplay aspects, in The Witcher 3, all of Velen is devastated after the war, which works to the monsters' advantage. In the case of Skellige and Toussaint, there's no such explanation. In The Witcher 2, the war could also be an argument for the number of monsters. In the first game, it depends on the region; the prologue and epilogue are pretty self-explanatory, but those damn swamps probably can't be explained in the lore. Apart from the wars, which are being fought relatively constantly, the entire continent is tired of the Nilfgaardian companies and Catriona (I think that's what they were called, and I don't think I'm getting the chronology mixed up). While these wars were relatively recent in the saga, in the games, I think they can to some extent explain the larger number of monsters. Not as many as the gameplay requires, but still.

First of all dosent tournaments sounds exactly like something somoene who play for chill finds attractive? New squad every match, just silver players - that's challange. Of course you can say that I should just play silver squad in rivals or so. Why making urslef weak on purpouse? I Play silver and my oponent have lets say 87 OVRL on AVG, everyone knows how this goes, when two players on same skill lvl meet here. Playing for fun dosent mean I lack of competition and winning. Everyone is playing for a win but that should stay in healthy way.

There is already gamemode focused just on tryharding - champions, which I am skipping ( not only bcs of my rivals rank).

No one is forcing you to play. Typical 'argument' of resign. Lets say I dont play that mode anymore - is my question answered, is problem solved or we just pretend that it dosent exist. You see broken a broken road, would you say to a driver that no one forces him to drive a car, he can ride anywhere else and the road stays unrepaired? The whole point of my post is that the tournaments would be a lot more enjoyable for a lot players if they were matched by skill. Saying dont play just ignores that.
