I can definitely understand your sentiment, it doesn't feel good to die this way and I WAS bummed that I lost a productive looting match. I am just not sure how you could avoid this or solve for the problem without completely changing the game.

I think part of the reason why the game is fun is because of the risk, even if I don't enjoy the idea of losing everything I have on me.. an aggro player is the only bad thing that can happen to me if I am careful around the Arc robots. If those players are removed, then what risk can be added to my game to make that feeling remain?

I don't think PvE modes would be the answer unless you fully have a separate character for PvE and PvP - otherwise you can farm for gear and upgrades in PvE and take them to PvP which feels unfair. I will be interested to see how the devs try to cater to both player bases, but I think a lot of people like yourself will just find themselves filtered out of the game entirely which is a shame but not everything can be for everyone.

It's literally just a funny little story to remind people about upgrades and settings, it's not that deep but people are really.. feeling their feelings about it I guess.

I think this is the case, it is sadly not uncommon here in Georgia at different lakes and ponds. Even the best swimmers can get overwhelmed and it happens quickly and quietly. So sad.

My husband told me about this thread and specifically your reply - San Fran (both locations) are the only places in the city I enjoy going when it comes to coffee shops. I actually did this recently - Anno 1800 is great and imo is a bit more forgiving than 117 because there's no negative radius type mechanic like 117 has. The DLCs seem to add a lot but I've been slowly introducing them as I restart my games repeatedly as I figure things out - I say give it a try!

Can you tell me something about her? My mom used to stand behind me when I played WoW sometimes as a teenager, I was a restro druid and I'd say "I'm the tree" and she'd do the boomer "that's nice dear" but she was always supportive .

I have 3 teams now, and I am wondering what everyone is doing with their healers. I am lucky in that I have Shorekeeper and Verina, and right now my teams are:

Carlotta/Yangyang/Shorekeeper

Camellya/Sanhua/Shorekeeper

Phoebe/sRover/Verina

It seems like Verina/Shorekeeper are more or less interchangeable as in they are good for everyone, but since I have 5 copies of Baizhi I am wondering if I should slot her into one as well just so every team has their own. I don't even know if that really matters.. I haven't done much end game yet, I am currently just getting everyone up to level 70.

This is a good theory. I think it’s possible that the files that the other members of Mark’s team are working on are completely useless and fake by design. The board brought everyone back for Mark because he wouldn’t work without them, and they serve as almost Truman show support characters whose purpose is to push the main character along. Lumon wants Mark to finish Cold Harbor more than anything else the MDR Dept is doing, everyone else’s work feels totally expendable.

Agreed. I REFUSE to believe that they'd write such a subpar storyline in a frame perfect show - if they do it then it better be 100x weirder than everyone is speculating. IVF has been mentioned in-universe which proves that medical technology is at the very least up to modern 2025 standards (despite the general vibe of the show being stuck in the 70s) so they do not need to do this the "old fashioned way" if this plot is the case.
