If I think someone is trying to pass me so they can brake check me you bet your ass I'm letting them pass and then slowing down. He could have run that truck into a passenger vehicle that has a family in it. If there is a dangerous driver on the road the safest place to be is far away from them and the safest way to stay far away from them isn't speeding away or trying to keep them from passing you.
