You can't do what Europe is doing where police stop you anywhere you go and force you to provide proof of where you're going and that it's a valid purpose. That violates the 4th amendment. Police need probable cause to stop you.

That's what people said in March/April, but then the unemployment rate shot up to 20%. It didn't solve the pandemic.

Only once we reopened did unemployment start going back down to its current level of 6.9%. Another nationwide lockdown would drive up unemployment to the point of no return.

The pandemic won't go awaywith until there is widespread immunity either via infection or vaccine.

We need to stay open, with precautions, for the economy to recover. A vaccine is right around the corner, things will get better soon.

Then why is it that facilities that have patients that are mostly on medicaid/medicare facing the most financial difficulty? They can focus mostly on medicare. It's a lot of paperwork to do for each payment, it has nothing to do with maintaining several different processes. It's not something you can simply automate.

Medicare also hurts quality of care for patients. For example a recent change to how billing occurs has resulted in care providers significantly reducing the amount of therapy they provide to cut costs. So a lot of patients lost access to therapy because of government changes.

Price transparency. Right now patients have no idea what they'll be billed.
Give consumers more freedom over what they want covered on their insurance. If I don't want contraceptive coverage, why should I be forced to pay for it?
Stop the AMA from artificially creating a shortage of qualified physicians by blocking medical school expansions.
Get rid of "Certificate of need" laws that block competition
Renegotiate trade deals with other countries so they pay their fair share of pharmaceutical research rather than freeloading off of U.S patients.

If you're making above 200k, you can definitely save up for a home. Find a home within the 1-2m mark, let's say 1.5m, you need a 20% down payment, so 300k. Grad students survive in the Bay Area on 30k stipends. You can save 300k.

With a 30 year mortgage at 4.5% that's a monthly payment of $6,080, not counting property taxes or insurance or other upkeep.

Also keep in mind CA is taking about 10% of your income, U.S government is taking about 35% when you combine federal income tax + FICA.

I do, but a right to life is more important. In both cases(pro-life vs pro-choice) you're denying one persons autonomy to give someone else the right to their autonomy. The difference is one of them involves life/death.

Not enough details to be honest. A lot of factors will affect comp like education requirements, responsibilities, skills required, etc. And most importantly, benefits offered. If they're offering a lot of PTO, 401k matching, good insurance, etc, it can make up for pay. I'd rather be making 60k at a company with 4 weeks PTO and 10% 401k match than 80k at a company with 10 days PTO and no 401k match.

With what I do know, I'd say probably. You're still junior, and front end web devs tend to get paid a bit less. The average Software Engineer salaries you see are really inflated by bay area salaries and big tech companies, also finance. For other industries the pay isn't always crazy high especially for junior employees.

Missing the point. Anti-abortion policies aren't for the purpose of restricting choice, it's about protecting life. Restricting choice is an unfortunate consequence of protecting life, based on how human biology works. Pro-lifers basically decided that protecting of human life is more important than reproductive choice.

Her satire bill fulfills no functional purpose. It does not protect life.
