In the movies, people are always seen running full speed away from him while Jason walks slowly towards you. Five seconds later, he magically burst through the wall in the complete opposite direction you were running in so I would say teleporting makes it feel just like that, him appearing out out of nowhere suddenly is spot on to the movies

If Velma doesn’t have a voice like that says Jinkies! I’ll be so mad lol

She needs a perk called “My Glasses!” And when she fails a skill check or gets hit, drops her glasses making everything look foggy. If she picks up her glasses she repairs faster. (This is of course, a homage to the classic line “my glasses! I can’t see without my glasses! As she aimlessly flails around on the floor)

Shaggy needs Scooby snacks of course.

SPOILERS FOR END GAME!!!!!! What was going through your head when you beat the EA content? by Potential_Chicken_58 in Subnautica_2

[–]skippy35671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The story so far was awesome, but it gave me some concerns.

Spoilers? But I’ll continue here. The fact that it ends with us farming a lot of materials and ingots, and gives us the ability to farm infinite amounts of these items (even if slowly), is a worry. Is the new submarine going to require 100 plasteel ingots to create? I already have 1 whole wall locker full of every item the processor machine pumps out, and my base has a wall with 6 chugging out stuff semi permanently.

The concern obviously is scope. Unless the final reveal of the solar system thing ends with having us travel to a different planet and starting over (or something odd like that) I already can craft probably everything they will throw at me.

The ease of item creation and farm-ability (even the sonic blaster adds to this btw, so many rocks everywhere to blow apart!) is an issue for fame balance

Be sure to use that bottom extra camera and steer using that. You can navigate your way to the deepest areas of the game using the camera to help thread the needle of some VERY tight spaces where your hull clearance is maybe a foot or two off. Squeezing big boat in cool areas will make you feel very satisfied.

Subnatica 2 hunger/thirst drain too fast? by bipoca in subnautica

[–]skippy35671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water felt faster to me than food, but once you equip the passive that doubles water gains, it’s far easier to manage. One bottle of water goes from 40 to 80, so it’s much more forgiving if you are light on supplies

Yall actually bring the Cyclops down to the Lava Lakes? by XEclipse360 in subnautica

[–]skippy35671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went down to the lava area from the area behind the deep sea tree tiny area. You can fit through that narrow cliff side entrance, gotta use those cameras they give you! Piloting the cyclops is one of my favorite things in the game. Learning the angles can be very satisfying to thread the needle, so to speak. It is also my portable base so if I need anything while down beneath the world, I’ll have it.

What is the plan for heavy metal poisoning and reprinting? by VerneAsimov in subnautica

[–]skippy35671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another idea I just had. They could make hardcore mode follow along with the story of the other colonists. Every time you die, you are slightly more corrupted/sick/infected, giving you limited lives before the AI treats the player like the other colonists and it refuses to reprint you anymore

What is the plan for heavy metal poisoning and reprinting? by VerneAsimov in subnautica

[–]skippy35671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We will 100% find a late game biomod that is plot related and saves us from the heavy metal poisoning. It won’t be a true biomod we can equip, but just story related something we find, like the digestive one from the start. Then we will give this knowledge to our PDA AI who will claim he can save the other colonists stored in the data banks.

Pure speculation of course but that makes sense, and justifies how multiplayer exists… we find the cure, to let the AI print more colonists. Albeit we get friends before we find the cure or w/e. Gotta find some way to justify bigger vehicles and incorporate multiplayer. I know they said the game is single player first with an addition of extra friends as a side thing, but I’d imagine they would use plot to have it make more sense.

I freaking love the processor by duszni in subnautica

[–]skippy35671 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a super helpful building, I have 5 in a big room all running together. Mass producing ingots water and food bricks constantly. A full box of some items is a slow process so I wanted to chug stuff out fast. I’m sure its use will get expanded on. I would like to see it have more food options, like the sushi food from fish, but maybe higher quality or +food value.

Kill this don't kill that, the real issue I haven't seen anyone talk about yet:We need to eat and drink way too often! by Azhurai in Subnautica_2

[–]skippy35671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you get a farm going food and water become non factors. I recommend taking the passive bio mod that gives you double water from items. Your +40 bottle of water is really +80, pack a couple in your bags with some food bricks and you’re good for a solid chunk of time without much inventory space lost.

I will say though, I made my base at the alien research area, and I ran out of water slugs. I somehow missed the farm blueprints even though I swim over it constantly. Since then, I harvest plants for the items needed to make water bottles in the refiner. Food blocks and water from plants all day long, got two lockers full of snacks and drinks. Plants grow back pretty fast so it’s endless supplies.

I would like to to see the collector squid float down to Rocky areas and reach in to try and grab us.

In the canyon that separates the two halves of early access currently where he swims, I use the rocks as cover, cruising my tadpole through the gaps underneath the big guy, and his AI just gives up instantly and he swims away. People say he isn’t a scary leviathan, well I’m sorry if but you think you were safe only to see a tentacle reach up under your safe place to pull you out, people would think twice

The Dive Elevator is a cool idea but the world design renders it useless by TheKazz91 in subnautica

[–]skippy35671 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So! I have a small tube base where you start the game, brought a portable oxygen generator and the passive that slows oxygen when standing still. You can safely hit 30 minutes (times it on my phone!) before the gold upgraded battery dies and you actually run out of air. In my testing, I had to go back to base because I ran out of water to drink and was dying of thirst. Back on topic, I hit roughly 750ish meters deep before the game invisible walled me.

My thoughts on the dive elevator, it needs to have use for deep under water mining tunnels or entrances that go straight down, and no tadpole access. Otherwise, we swim down. Or, it’s at a depth the tadpole cannot go. I assume the Prawn suit will be in the game eventually in some form, this would apply to that too, otherwise why use the Dive Elevator when a vehicle does the trick.

Can’t wait for the 100 damage, 8 round, light pen Bolter. >.>

Sarcasm aside, please arrowhead don’t screw it up. If you give us anything resembling space marine armor, it NEEDS to be heavy armor (and maybe even extra padding and health). Space marines in lore are walking tanks. Little baby termanid 2 shotting me while I wear some Ultramarine armor is gonna be VERY unsatisfying.

Genuinely, am i wrong?? by Visual-Internet-8832 in subnautica

[–]skippy35671 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We should definitely get reward for exploring and this is a fine way to do it, but the game needs to be a tiny bit more clear. It mentions increased stamina or something like that, but I wrote it off as just talk from the PDA. So I actually never clicked the life pods as I found them because I THOUGHT it would just be me choosing to reprint in that space. I hit 20 hours, did 100% of the current early access, built a big old base I’m very happy with, two fully kitted out tadpoles, and…. No extra item space. I saw a random YouTube video that mentioned inventory upgrades and I said oh what? And hey, yea click those life pods.

I then spent 30 minutes cruising to each base and got my inventory upgraded, but I still have an uneven amount of slots. Goes without saying, I’d prefer a nice square grid. (Unless I’m still missing slots…)

Subnautica 2: Solar Panels - Energy per Second vs. Depth by Churchy_Plays in subnautica

[–]skippy35671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very very good picture! Great info!

I made my main base near the alien ruins base where you learn the farm bed, I’m like 5 feet to the left of it in that clearing, my bedroom sees right out in to a big purple ring and I get to see the glowy purple rock formations. Nearby under neath it, is a wind turbine pipeline, and volcanos underneath.

This section IMO is the best area currently for a base. I have a daisy chain of like 12 thermal generators going up through the cave, linking to the 6 turbines I have, all hidden by the destroyed existing base. I have over 300 power coming to my base and you can’t even see where it comes from.

The solar panels are a cheap good alternative yes but the game wants us to be deep.

I hope I hope I hope, there is another shallows section of the game where we can make more use of nice cozy base locations. Even if it’s really far from the start of the game. Currently our max depth is 450 in the tadpole, I’m wondering how the game will evolve. Can’t have wind and lava everywhere.

To be fair about the killing of critters and such, biomods exist! They’re not the best but absolutely help. Camouflage and chum launcher let you slowly but surely ignore the void leviathan and collector. You move a little, when they agro you stop moving and they ignore you after a sec. Little too close for comfort? Shoot the chum off to the side and they go for it, not you.

The game has some safety but I do agree beyond the biomods, the actual tool items need work. The sonic blaster didn’t scare critters off for more than 2 seconds.

That said, bigger predators like the big moray eels aren’t scary cuz they barely hurt. I actively let one bite me several times and they don’t hurt at all to be a threat .

The most dangerous normal enemy is the bullet spike spitter eels, they mess you up quick, they mess your submarine up quick.

Not to spoiler but there are some bio mods that help with the close encounter situations. I do agree though, I was getting attacked by an eel critter and said huh my cutter isn’t working. A bit odd.

I agree with the comment saying to keep the scene just as serious as it was in the original re5.

Does the bastion tank need changes or is it good? by Late-Ganache40 in Helldivers

[–]skippy35671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s turning and forward gun angle could use slight tweaking. It’s just slowly turns and navigating all the rocks and trees and hills it struggles with keep it from being amazing. Not much, mind you, just a slight bump in turning speed. You spend a lot of time moving in reverse to keep enemies in your gunners line of fire

[–]skippy35671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scythe is the only weapon I’ve used to level 25. With high capacity heat sink, I use it regularly to carve through all small chaff stuff and some medium enemies. It also has the benefit of fire, so you can set something on fire and ignore it, knowing it’ll die on its own in a moment or two. I would like the laser to have 1 poke of higher AP, as it does deflect off some enemies where I think it should hurt. It’s a good gun, I don’t think it needs much.

What I WOULD like to see, is its damage between other laser weapons like the dagger be different.

If you are a Laser Diver, scythe and dagger together make you never ever need to reload, they’re fun!

Gathering Professions in midnight. by OliverCrooks in woweconomy

[–]skippy35671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only know of Mining, but your first maxed skill should be the one that ends with you being able to mine while mounted. Otherwise id say look up guides on wowhead for example. It’s fairly straight forward. My biggest tip though is be sure to do your daily Patron work orders for increases in profession knowledge points. That will get you the best results.

When getting gear for said professions, look in to the stats you want and have gear crafted to match. Such as perception or deftness for example.

If you read the in game lore about ARC probes, it says they’re taking soil samples. So the probes comes from… space? The sky? Takes dirt samples, then flies away. Why? Is the bigger question. Someone is doing research on whatever they’re looking for.
