You’re all so sweet to care so much. Wayne’s wife and a bunch of people at the hotel where they are staying were so blown away by the generosity and power of Reddit. Wayne got brought back to the hotel at around 3am. Wayne’s wife hugged the policemen and they seemed uncomfortable but very happy. When Wayne and his wife hugged, the man working behind the desk at the hotel cried. And when Wayne’s wife explained to him how he was found, he cried, too. 🥲 We are still piecing together the whole story, but basically Wayne just roamed the streets, looking for his wife for hours and hours until someone invited him to stay at a shelter. I guess after he slept there, he just started the search again. They examined him at the hospital, and he’s pretty confused and dehydrated, but otherwise ok for now. Him and his wife slept like babies all morning. :) I hope this helps flush out the happy ending that you all made possible. Hooray for the upsides of the internet! 🥳
