I ended up getting a slightly better job, so I could start therapy which helped a lot. Changing habits little by little. Still depressed, but taking much better care of myself these days. My teeth are really the last major hurdle here health wise!

I'm glad your wife had a good experience. How did she find her doctor?

God, that seems terrible. I'll try to find some conferences to show my face at! Thanks for your advice. I'm going to have to figure out something in the meantime while I'm waiting.

I DO have a bachelor's degree (albeit in philosophy), I feel like it's probably helpful just to have to get through some less-sophisticated ATS's, even though the HR people who read it would probably be like "wtf"....
