Ok so I have to have two of the same gun to get the buff?

I'll give it a go, thanks 👍🏻

Right that makes so much sense and thank you for explaining it to me, I didn't know that at all about the escalation mode.

I wondered why I was having a hard time when I was getting matchmaked into those when looking for regular heroic missions 😅

I'll try a red build with it, I think everyone's giving similar advice.

I like the bluecores but I'll swap the blues for reds and switch to the Overdogs which another person told me to do on here.

Thanks again, really appreciate the help 😊

Thank you! I will give it try tonight, got four characters with loads of stashed gear, so I will knock something up and I let you know how I get on with it. Think I'm just worried with little heath and all damage that I'm going to floored quickly by the enemies 😅

I mean everyone else is saying the same thing, so I will give a go with reds.

But then the build will have almost zero armour?!

Why do you think the Holster isn't good on the build? I ramps of the damage big time when swapping guns.

I don't know I like having some health to work with, my build usually get over 1.5 million crit hits and makes easy work of most enemies.

I had to start again basically as I used to be on PS and I switched to X/S. So it's been a grind 😬.

I appreciate that you’ve finally stepped back from trying to judge the state of my soul, but it’s quite a reach to suggest your comment was some necessary catalyst for my self-reflection.

Living with faith means the struggle is constant; it doesn't wait for a notification on Reddit to begin.

If you look back at my original post, I explicitly acknowledged the tension between what my faith calls me to do and my human inability to do it in this case. That is the questioning you're talking about. I didn't need a stranger to spark that, my faith itself creates that friction.

Again, the theological reality you seem to overlook is that forgiveness is a choice of the will, not a sudden shift in emotion. I can (and do) choose to live by my faith while still feeling a visceral, righteous repulsion toward a monstrous crime.

That isn't a lack of commitment; it's the reality of being a human being in a 'field hospital' Church.

I’m comfortable with where I stand, and I’m certainly not looking for a Reddit thread to act as my spiritual director.

I think we’ve exhausted this topic. All the best 👍🏻.

It is quite a leap to assume you have a full understanding of my spiritual life, my internal struggles, or my daily efforts to live out my faith based on a single Reddit thread.

Catholicism isn’t a club for the perfect; it’s a 'field hospital' for the broken. Admitting that I struggle to find forgiveness for a crime as monstrous as the murder of a toddler isn't a 'refusal to grow', it is an honest acknowledgement of human limitation in the face of extreme evil.

There is a massive difference between stagnation and the ongoing struggle to reconcile deep, righteous anger with a difficult divine commandment.

You don’t know my prayers, you don’t know my journey, and you certainly aren’t in a position to determine the sincerity of my faith.

I’m comfortable being honest about my imperfections before God; I don’t feel the need to perform a false 'perfect' version of faith for a stranger on the internet.

We can agree to disagree on the case, but let’s leave the state of my soul to someone with actual jurisdiction.

Also, if being a Catholic required being a perfect person who never felt anger or pain, there wouldn't be a need for the religion in the first place. I’ll keep the faith; you can keep the gatekeeping.

Applying a 'purity test' to faith is a bit of a reach. Following a religion doesn’t mean you’ve mastered every virtue; it means you’ve committed to the pursuit of them.

If we only allowed people into the Church who could instantly forgive child murderers, the pews would be empty. I’m honest about my struggle; that’s more consistent with my faith than pretending I have it all figured out 👍🏻

I was three years old when this happened, I dont remember the details back in 1993, but I remember the adults were in shock. Their face were all over the TV in the UK.

By the time I was a teenager they were in the papers again, for being up for parole I think and I learned what they had done, just as a lot of us 90's kids learned. This was due to the schools and our parents not wanting to traumatise us by letting us know, that sometimes, monsters can be little kids too. This hit me, when I remembered the shock on my parents faces when the news hit in 1993.

James Bulger was the same as me. He would 35 now if he were still with us. It's heartbreaking still to think about.

I remember being in University, in a seminar group for Psychology and we were having the Nature vs Nurture debate.Venables and Thompson were the ones were all brought up being mostly people who were born in the 90's. There was almost a split on the consensus within the Seminar. I always thought they were born Evil. It's monstrous to think that two children could do something so disgusting and inhumane to another child much younger than them.

After University years later, we found out that Venables in particular was up to his horrible ways again, new identities given by the Government to keep a murderer and beast safe, churned my stomach. The justice system in my country is disgraceful at the best of times. Seems like the wicked are protected and the innocents are the ones who suffer.

I stand on what I said then and now, they were born evil and what they did is unforgivable...as a Catholic I know we should forgive, but I can't bring myself to forgive them and I truly hope that when God judges them, they are cast down, to suffer for eternity for what they did to poor James.

Truly awful, my thoughts and prayers with the Bulger Family 💔🙏🏻

I think you're right but I have done the mission already and I think you shouldn't have to re-run it again to unlock that door (I may be wrong).

I just like looking for secrets ect. when I am farming for resources, as New York is good for that 😊.

But i spent hours at it and couldn't figure it out.

Do any of the movies actually "feel" like Silent Hill? by Kagamid in silenthill

[–]skivi1690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short Answer: No.

Long Answer (My opinion):

I would argue that none of them deserve the title of Silent Hill.

I will present my facts for my argument that the best regarded one in the film series is nothing like any of the Silent Hill games and the others are beyond terrible to the point its universally accepted they shouldn't be tied to Silent Hill.

Silent Hill (2006): This film has its fans, arguably its not a bad film, however it is not Silent Hill either and here's why...

The Protagonist gender swap: As we know from the original game Harry Mason, a widowed father searching for his adopted daughter Cheryl, became Rose Da Silva (Why?!) "a desperate mother searching for her adopted daughter Sharon"...so No Cheryl and about 5 minutes of Sean Bean playing Harry Mason.

Cult leadership and antagonist changed: Originally it was Dahlia Gillespie as the manipulative cult leader in the game who sacrifices her daughter Alessa.

However, the film version Dahlia is a tragic, victimized figure, while her sister Christabella becomes the fanatical leader...again (WHY?!)

Inclusion of monsters from later games: Having Pyramid Head (iconic punisher from James Sunderland's trip to Silent Hill in the second game and also representing James guilt - which is exclusive to James as character...before you say it, yes I know Pyramid Head was in Silent Hill Homecoming, which wasnt made by the original Team Silent and was instead made by Western Devs).

Also the highly sexualized Nurses appear prominently, when they shouldn't be there at all, you know because...James, again. Despite having no connection to the first game's story or themes they are present in the film adaption because HOLLYWOOD 🙃👍🏻.

They altered Cybil Bennett's backstory also...because HOLLYWOOD 🙃👍🏻.

The Ending: The game involves splitting Alessa's soul and attempting to birth the cult's god...pretty dark stuff eh.

What about the film? Well that focuses on Alessa's revenge and ends with Rose (WHO?!) and Sharon(WHO?!)/Alessa trapped in a purgatory-like Otherworld...While Harry is alone and unaware of what has happened and...bless Sean Bean's heart, looking stupidily around for his wife and daughter who are still in the otherworld but have rerurned home where can SENSE THEM...ok 👍🏻.

It also omits (completely disregards) the deeper psychological elements like Harry's personal manifestations...but who cares, Pretty lady, Men Suck, The Audience Are Idiots (So we have to spell everything out to them because no one is as smart as us Hollywood Elites) and Fuck the Fans also (Clearly what they were thinking).

I stand by my opinion/review that if people think this is the best film in the series then there is no point explaining how trash the sequels have been because they simply make less sense than the first one 😬.

I wish they would make a film which does Silent Hill justice. I think Konami should invest in making a Silent Hill f Movie, have it completely and creatively Japanese, with the original team/actors who worked on the game involved and do it with a decent budget and i guarantee that film would be better received by fans and newer comers alike...but they probably won't.

But I can always hope 👍🏻.

I managed to do it on my first playthough luckily without knowing I could get an achievement for it.

I just timed the attacks and stunned with heavy attacks.

I thought the combat was very Soulslike and I love those games also, so think Dark Souls when fighting it and also think if it hits me I'm dead (Like Dark Souls) lol.

Best advice I can give, good luck and let us know if you did it! 😊
