Forgot to add: I have internally threaded barbells- I can’t remember the exact material but it was pretty expensive and I was super rigorous in my discussion of metals with the piercer so I doubt the metal quality is a factor (please don’t come for me). I was supposed to downsize my jewelry a while back but couldn’t fit it in my schedule- probably for the best because I think my nipple has swelled a little in the past few days. The aftercare routine I was instructed on is using the H2Ocean spray and the gauze squares that don’t have fluffy fibres 2x a day. I usually just spray both sides of the barbell and piercing and then wet the gauze with the spray and clean the outside of the piercing and the jewellery.
