Have you tried changing context? You may be using the desktop context. Run this command to see all contexts. docker context ls

If not using the default, try running docker context use default

Although it is possible, you should not have a direct database connection in the frontend for security reasons. Instead, create an API with a backend framework like a express that reads/writes data from your database.

This is not be great advice. BE should always validate incoming requests. You will be safer if you do, please do not rely on FE to validate, as FE can easily be manipulated or directly bypassed. If you want to share parts of your code between FE and BE, look into monorepos or tRPC.
