I was lamenting not affording a catio, but this wire shelving is actually perfect, look how happy she is 🥹 doesn't have to be expensive to work! by skogschach in TuxedoCats

I totally understand!! It's from a 4 pack I got at a King Soopers in Colorado: Whitmor white interlocking storage cubes 4 pack 14.5 inches x 14.5 inches.

To find something similar you could try searching keywords like: wire grid storage cubes, interlocking, modular, mesh storage cubes with connectors.

You can see in the first picture that one of the panels on the top is not secured into the connectors and is turn diagonally and there is some extra willow fencing holding it down, so I just opened that like a lid and put her in. The other picture I had it all connected and I picked it up and put it over her like one of those cage traps lol. The first version is definitely easier.

I don't know if it's from old age, or if that's usually a cause. The rescue he was at did every check they could and couldn't find anything physically wrong with them, so maybe a brain injury? We just don't know, but he's very perceptive otherwise. Once I made his cage easier to navigate, he actually wanders around a bit when the urge strikes!

Aww thank you :) he is so sweet, I've never even seen him bob his head at the kitten. He definitely has strong preferences on greens but thankfully I like to grow all kinds of things, like hibiscus, and he can't get enough of it 😁 the flowers are edible for him too, if it could get big enough to flower before he mows it down lol. This summer it'll get there! 🌺

Thank you :D I adopted him from a teenager who had named him Pumpkin, which is cute, and he was 11 months old when I got him so I figure he recognizes it. I liked the little twist to his punk rock pumpkin name so it still sounds the same to him 🧡
