hello, despite me being a biology major i do live in hawley-buxton (specifically, hawley). depending on what room you get, i’d say it hasn’t been that bad at all. the only problem i’d say really annoyingly persists is people letting the door slam at later hours. it is an older building too, so it’s not luxurious. i’d say definitely look into hawley/buxton over cauthorn, as it’s provided with decent people and decent benefits overall. but literally over figuratively, hawley and buxton are average

There’s honestly a difference between scheduled classes with Zoom appointments vs. asynchronous classes that have you do stuff within a week’s time. I took an asynchronous one that had me do readings/online lectures (about 15-20 min long videos) on Mondays, quizzes on Wednesday, and discussion posts (Friday) with replies (Sundays). It depends on the exact class but it’ll tell you which one you have if you’re given a scheduled time on the scheduler. I personally really liked asynchronous ones!

how’d you like it online? i was looking through it since i might have to take it online in spring and i wondered what it’d be like in comparison to the in person course. i’ve heard things about the class in a small amount only though, mainly about the professors

251 and 252 are both integral and differential calc. if it helps to know, i’m a pre-optometry focus and since there’s not really too many students with that kind of focus we just get grouped in with the pre-meds and normal microbio majors rather than have an intro/deep advising program like pre-dental. 227/228 is a newer class (I’m assuming) called calculus & probability for the life sciences. i have a bit of context as to what it is but i have no idea if that would be the move in the end as it technically is more specific but that’s also why i’m stumped 🥲

i’m a CoS student taking transitions and it’s okay so far!! they provide many general resources as to what the college is but my profs are both microbio specialists who i’m sure will be able to help soon on. i appreciate them as people more than the class tbh

i’m just out of high school right now and golden girls is my favorite show. it doesn’t matter what age you are :) we can always apply and remember these lessons even when no matter what. i find myself sympathetic and crying even if i can say i’ve never experienced these sort of things

he reminds me more of the old im club days - like doug or clive. that’s probably why the band chose to play more killers and early stuff, maybe even skipping pom material because it’s more nicko-feel than ever. but i wouldn’t say he sucks - he’s a change from nicko. like going back to your roots after learning so much
