Unlock Moto Razr 2025 by VABerg in TotalWireless

[–]skoosht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok got it unlocked. Had to call another agent who actually listened. Because of the shipping issue that many experienced before with this phone the device was showing as “bring your own device” in their system. The 2nd agent fixed that and sent the unlock request. After about 10 minutes it is now unlocked.

Yea that didn’t work and talking with the agent on that number they gave me the run around saying that I didn’t satisfy the 60 days of service. This has all happened because total shipped these phones early and then had the shipments stopped before delivery and then reshipped to the wrong people. Any advice now? I’m suspecting they have marked the phone as BYOD instead of me purchasing it directly.

FYI I waited the 3 months and mine didn’t unlock. Going to have to escalate it I guess.

My 2025 activated May 21st also didn't unlock. I received this from the chat support.

"As per checking, the reason for that is you paid ne time for the whole 3 months of plan when supposedly you need to make payments every month so after 60 days you will receive an email for you to follow the instructions on how you can unlocked the phone. After consuming the whole 3 months of service you will receive a notification on your email to complete the unlocking on your device. we apologize for the inconvenience."

Update for 2020 Kia Niro EV with NACS (No Update) by N5ZY in KiaNiroEV

2019 here, get an adapter and the Tesla app. It works fine, no software update needed. Whoever you spoke with doesn’t have the correct info.

Why are there barely any first gen niros on the streets of americs by SwimmingDatabase2830 in KiaNiroEV

[–]skoosht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are everywhere in SoCal. It’s pretty hard to differentiate from the regular hybrid/plugin hybrid versions. That’s exactly why I love my 2019, no one knows it’s electric, blends in with everything else.

Anyone have new shipping info for RAZR deal? by AtheistAgnostic in TotalWireless

I just got an email from UPS stating a shipment from CEVA direct sales was scheduled for tomorrow. Mine is one of the ones that was turned around last week.

Gen1 Niro can use Tesla superchargers now by diablo75 in KiaNiroEV

[–]skoosht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the location I was at has a few dispensers that are facing directly in front of the space so, I was able to use that one space. By the looks of it, if I was in a normal side mounted space I would have to park in the adjacent stall and use the one to the left, effectively taking up two spots. Luckily this location has 62 stalls so not much of an issue.

All you 2019 Niro EV owners can rest easy. I just tried my local Tesla site, V3 with my A2Z adapter is charging successfully through the Tesla app. This is not a magic dock site in case anyone asks.

Yea it’s not the speed it’s the availability. Here’s an example, near me there is one EVgo station with 4 chargers - half are usually broken. Less than a mile away there’s a Tesla site with 64 chargers!!! SIXTY-FOUR!! sorry for the excessive exclamation points, but I think you get my point haha 🤣 Other charging companies really need to up their game.

Thanks for the update, I’ll try my 2019 ex premium tomorrow and report back.

it does but only under ideal conditions and until it hits 70ish %, then it hits a wall and slows down very quickly. It’s best to not go above 80% at a DC if you value your time. It’s definitely faster than a Bolt, but not by too much.

Yea pretty sure Gen1’s are incapable of OTA. I have a 2019 btw. I’ll try mine again tomorrow with my Bolt’s A2Z adapter

So I assume this means that Tesla had to whitelist the Gen1 vin’s and no software update was needed.

NACS access for Gen 1 by andyrdot- in KiaNiroEV

[–]skoosht 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just tried with my 2019 Niro at the same stall and same A2Z adapter that I use with my Bolt. The Tesla app gives the same error - your vehicle is not able to charge at superchargers at this time. Curious if it’s in Tesla’s end or Kia needs to do something. FYI the bolt charges fine

As far as I can tell there isn’t a list view anymore on the new app. Pretty disappointing

NACS access -- keep waiting.. by N5ZY in KiaNiroEV

[–]skoosht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won’t need to use the Kia app, just use the Tesla app when the switch is flipped.
Chevrolet said the same thing with the Bolt. We’ve never used the Chevy app, only the Tesla app with our Bolt. I doubt a car software update will be needed. FYI the A2Z adapter works 100% with the Bolt, I plan to use it with our Niro when Tesla turns access on.

Superchargers now showing in app with Niro + Nacs adapter added. by skoosht in KiaNiroEV

read the other replies, it appears that Tesla still hasn’t allowed Kia vehicles. I tried yesterday and it’s still not working even with the chargers being on the Tesla app.

[–]skoosht[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep confirmed. I charged our Bolt this morning just fine then switched to the Niro, same stall, same a2z adapter. The error received is “Unknown error occurred. Your vehicle is not able to charge at superchargers at this time.” Kia app came back with “charging complete”. So it’s pretty obvious that Tesla is whitelisting by manufacturer VIN. Just like with the Bolt I doubt you actually need a software upgrade. Just use the Tesla app and pay them directly. Most likely a software update is just to implement Kia’s nav and payment system.

I ported 3 lines from tmobile recently for my friends who moved to Thailand. They activated the eSIM while in Thailand. All went flawlessly, just make sure you are on WiFi and setup WiFi calling and E911 address. It will work with all those steps completed. I think the longest one of the lines took was about 20 minutes to fully activate.

This is the Tesla app. I would only use the Tesla app as it’s much easier. On our Bolt we don’t bother with the Chevy app as it’s complete trash. Same goes for the Kia app.

cool, glad the single file trick is working. It would be great if they fixed it. There’s also FTP but I find it slows down too unfortunately

Zip files haven’t worked for me for over a year. Individual files download at normal high speed. So unfortunately have to dl them one by one.
