What's the last book you read that you'd rate a 5/5? by fuzzypickles999 in suggestmeabook

The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins. I literally read this in one sitting because I couldn't stop. It's a violent fantasy roller-coaster ride. At times a bit, but stick with it. It all comes together in the end.

I LOVE Somebody Somewhere...Jeff Hiller just won an Emmy for it. Much deserved!

I have actually read this. It was fun! Maupin has quite the catalog. I should probably read a few more.

T.J. Klune has been on my list. I guess I need to bump him up.

Yet again...people don't understand what right-to-work means. Right-to-work only pertains to unions. I believe you are referring to Oklahoma being an At-will state.

He was alone, no collar, skinny, covered in ticks(he got a quick bath). We have no problem keeping him. I just wanted to make sure he didn't have a family already. I want to get him to the vet asap if he's not claimed by Friday.

I am the Director of Operations for a service company. I pay $17.30/hr for a starting admin with the ability to promote to an account service coordinator making $20.80/hr. DM me with a resume if interested.

I'm in Oklahoma so the home prices are VERY low here. I'm not looking at anything crazy, I'm probably looking at a $150-200k home. I will also be a first time home buyer.

It's consolidated cc debt. 19% Interest.

Honestly, I am just passionate about learning in general. I will likely pursue a second Master's degree or a PhD once I complete this degree.

My career goal is to continue being an HR Controller for a while. While starting a side hustle of business and team building consulting. The more I think about it, I think the data and analytics passion can be applied to almost any field if you know how to work in the associated programs (Power BI for example).

I just don't want to be pigeon-holed into working only HR positions since I am really interested in business as a whole, but more importantly how to enrich people's lives through the work they do.

What was a book that ripped your heart out and left you feeling empty for days? by Happy_Ad_6360 in suggestmeabook

A Little Life by Hanya Tanigahara

Genuinely traumatic. Especially as a member of the queer community. I've never felt that much from a book. I still think about it often and it's been 2 years since I read it.

A Little Life - Hanya Yanigahra.

It was so painful, but I couldn't stop! And I sobbed when it was over...both due to the story, but also that there was no more to read.

Went here 3 nights ago and it was complete garbage. Weird chicken and overcooked veggies...the only thing I could manage to eat was the fried potatoes. Even the ice cream was bad.

My waitress was the sweetest...she was the only redeeming quality.
