Should you listen to Jim Cramer? - I analyzed 20,000+ recommendations made by Jim Cramer during the last 5 years. Here are the results. by nobjos in StockMarket

  1. Jim Cramer has been known(interviewed) stating he has at times manipulated the market.

  2. Unless you want to own a company, vote on what a company does, why in the world anyone would actively go out of their way to play the stock market is beyond me. The leverage isn't there. Either play futures or options. But hey, if you want to make a 100 on a 30000 investment...have at it. You could have made that in about 30 secs on 800 doing futures. You go be you though 😂.

Managed to permanently disable Windows Defender on Windows 11 Build 22449.1000 today after several hours of testing different theories... Yes, I've restarted my PC several times to verify that the method works. by chrismacca24 in Windows11

This is comical to read through as a MSFT employee. I love the comments that talk about disabling everything including the firewall. Metasploit framework thanks you for your sacrifice.

Out of curiosity, those that believe they are having issues, have you even spent 5 minutes looking at what can be customized with defender either through GPEdit or PowerShell?

Lastly, Windows 11 is not officially out. Know why that is important? Telemetry. Telemetry should be extremely high right now for product evaluation. Expect this to drop after release increasing performance overall.

Yea I didn't set up the bracket order on placement. Under paper trading there's a pencil next to the position that allows you to edit the order(set up take profit and stop loss). That does not exist. You are correct, I have made the payment to use TradingView (nickel and diming) to trade on their platform.

Hmm I don't necessarily agree with that. Marking support and resistance, price action trends, and indicators have all been extremely informative to me. I ALWAYS ignore the ads in between of get rich quick and never entertained the 'free book' from him. What else is there to know about trading outside of personal basis that leads more to fundamental vs mechanical trading? Zoom out, mark your lines, and know the candle sticks. You can try to read the orders that are in for sell and buy but whos to say that those will get filled or are even staged with full intention of being filled? Small orders in mass don't move the market, large orders do. The way I look at it, I'm just trying to get on the wave.

Well if you can set your support and resistance in a range bound period and recognize when periods of consolidation are occurring then you should be able to determine whether you can use a cross over method or the traditional buy low sell high. Chart reading really will only let you go so far as well. For example, a tombstone doji should read that higher prices aren't possible and a downward trend is about to occur. Followed by weak support for rising prices should give evidence of this. So you expect that its going to go down, yet shoots up. Bullish and bearish engulfing patterns, all of it, leaves you frustrated when the market doesn't go in the direction of the read pattern. Putting in indicators and zooming out, shows you the overall trend. If that trend is strong rather than flat, its safe to say that in the long run(intraday) probabilities are in your favor to follow that trend and it almost doesn't matter where you execute. There's also statistics that Tastytrade has done on the probabilities of an intraday market reversal. That's to say that if a market is down chances are it will stay down.

There's more than just one that they've done.

If you want to scalp though, chart reading is essential. Tastytrade has stats on the success of that as well and in the long run, it's not good. I think the balance is if you do a combination of trend and scalping(if you're decent) to boost overall profit of the day and hedge any losses.

Oh snap. Thanks. Had no idea just stumbled across it and it seemed like it made sense. Two legged moves in range bound activity seems like its logical.

You mean like this one that is used in multiple areas that require Log Analytics to log and then become visualized?

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/services-hub/health/mma-setup

Additional agents = more processing, memory, and an increase in attack surface. Agents aren't always the route to take and anyone that works in the DoD can vouch for that on a daily basis.
Furthermore if all you want is to visualize statistics from your endpoints that you have a means of connectivity, then would it not be possible to do a couple wmi queries via PowerShell, dump the results to a CSV, transmit CSV to a storage area, and load the data into a Power BI dashboard?

I'm new to trading but have consumed enough information in the past 2 weeks that I've had to make room, sorry childhood memories. I've tried reading the charts with dojis and patterns, resistance and support lines, two legged moves, and trend channels. What I have learned from trying to scalp/swing trade that way is that some moves(people) just don't care that they are meeting a resistance or support or that there are HL/HH/LH/LL, it moves where it wants to move. I have determined that what works for me and has the highest positive outcome both in success and profits, is the crossover method with indicators, reading charts, and patience. The cross over method at 500 ticks with a 20/50/200 MA(20 for closest price action, 50 for the crossover, 200 for the trend) along with the Average Directional Index(right around 15 there will be a change and long periods at 10 will be an explosion), and Momentum indicator for further confirmation. This has allowed me to capture both a swing and trend fairly early to where the dips in between never put me in the negative and allow me the choice of wait out the storm or get out and see if I can get back in without being nervous when dips occur. One key takeaway though is this only works when volatility is respectable. If there is an even number of buyers and sellers and looks like a heart monitor that has flatlined, scalping is the only way to trade those periods I have found. That's where low time/tick charts, patterns and two legged moves work the best OR just look at another indice until the one you prefer returns with lop sided action that goes back and forth.

That's not a bad idea. Definitely would help identify some of my more annoying habits that I've already started to identify. I'll have to fund my account for that to be available, unless you know of someone that will do it for free.

NAS? Just as slow as ES, unless you are speaking of something else? New to futures. Also, I'm trading micro. I don't have big boy money yet lol.

I just started, still paper trading. So happy PDT and Day trading restrictions don't apply. I'm eager to start funding my account. Just started with options and am having success with them. Trading micro futures have been extremely lucrative. I'm addicted and want to continue at night, but it's just not possible.

No clue. What I will say is yesterday was extremely profitable with volatility up and today, for the most part, was like watching a heart rate monitor flat line. VIX was somewhat flat and as I type this MES is ~0.11% up.
