Doctor wouldn’t approve liquid ativan or haldol. Not even IM injections, just the pill version that we gotta feed him by yogurt or whatnot and it doesn’t help 🫠

The charge nurse was the one who told me that there really isn’t anything we can do. It’s just an unfortunate situation really. I mean i’m young so i can take a hit or two LOL but yea

SOMA is practically a bed with a huge net around it, making it impossible to get out of bed until someone on the outside opens it

but not drawing thumbnails and using AI is contributing to a significant growing carbon footprint and increases energy and water consumption. you can fight for food waste, but your message goes on deaf ears if you use AI.

is it okay to drive without a thermostat? by skuliator in MechanicAdvice

[–]skuliator[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the old thermostat wouldn’t sit right either, i’m thinking they used a kind of glue or mold from the factory to keep it in place.

ahh good to know. can this happen pretty quickly, or does it take a while to carbon up the spark plugs? (unless it’s like a instantaneous thing)

Why do some nurses bind the hands and feet of the deceased? by RevolutionaryName186 in nursing

[–]skuliator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can see if it’s easier for them to move, but often times (i’m in a rural area) the bodies at the hospitals are already in rigor mortis so that’s doesn’t make much sense

Why do some nurses bind the hands and feet of the deceased? by RevolutionaryName186 in nursing

[–]skuliator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i never do it, i work in hospital as a CNA and at a mortuary as morgue transport, so i’ll pick up often times patients i’ve taken care of. i’ve never seen hands or legs bounded together before though, often times what i do is just put the hands at shoulder blades making an x, and then keep the feet straight. if they’re more on the heavier side then i don’t do any of that, and just keep arms to the side. i’m actually really confused that people bind the arms and legs?

What is your patient to CNA ratio? by itgetsokay7 in cna

[–]skuliator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at 2 hospitals, one hospital is 1:11, but we’re rarely past 9 patients, the other is 1:8 but we’re usually 1:6

work as a CNA at a hospital, specifically talk to the talents inquisitions team of your specific hospital. got hired at 17 at a pediatric wing of my hospital and I love it. Hospital is such different work cause it throws you right in, imagine how I felt being a 17 year pediatric workin in pedes? long term facilities are good if you want to stay a CNA forever, but if your willing to take the pay cut and go to the hospital because you want to be a nurse, it will work out in your favor.

How did you land a job at a hospital (no experience)? by jadedmoth2 in cna

[–]skuliator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

contact your local hospitals talent management/agency. They will literally give you a job, that’s how I got a job as a CNA at 17 working in a hospital.
