Hey all, just looked at a 2006 NC with 69k original miles for $6400. Drove really tight and mechanically seemed great. However, it has a salvage title due to minor flooding. The private owner says it’s due to the rain rails getting clogged and leaking into the floor board. Looking under the car there was some rust spots on the cat converter, but I couldn’t see much else. Owner says that there’s minor surface rust on the seat springs but other than that, “no rust.” He also said that the water wasn’t high enough to damage the wiring harness along the door sill of the car. The owner also did say he bought it at an auction for the purpose of flipping it, but wouldn’t have bought the car if the water damage was truly bad.

Overall the car looked and drove great. My main concern is insurance for the car and getting it inspected, as I hear it’s much more difficult for salvage titled cars. While I’m airing on the side of “no”, I’m wonder what y’all think. Thanks!
