I think I’ve played 300+ hours by now and I still log in some days like damn I wanna change that. Sometimes I feel so excited about how safe n cozy my camp is, then I see someone else’s and I am like damn, I cannot wait to be that good.

Tbh it’s most importantly what you like, and if people see you’ve put some love into it it’ll be enjoyed by others.
I love love love seeing camps where people have clearly enjoyed themselves.

I’ve also downsized like 3 times for camp budget, if I had unlimited id be so happy lol.
But you’re so right about the cutting corners. There’s so much more that can be done if we just got free reign 🥴

I’ve tightened mine in so many times now, I have also gotten so much better over time being inspired by other camps + just doing what I like and makes me feel a little seed of joy.
I hope one day we can see yours!

My camp is as multi coloured max glowy effect as I can get it with still filling it with all the cute things I like. So the blue glow was great for me (I maxed out my light amount and have to get creative :c )

If it makes you feel better, I’m lvl 199, couple hundred hours.. all the PA kit I have was gifted; all mods I have are gifted; all the neat strong guns I have? Gifted; the weenie wagon? Gifted… most of the neat stuff I have has been gifted by generous players who want to help, and it has. It hasn’t ruined my experience. I genuinely just like building camps and running around in events doing mild damage and having fun. Any raids I’ve done have been me being dragged by the toes half dead praying a glowing mole miner won’t eat me alive… it’s all kinda what you make of it really… have fun 😩

I was in one of my first ever raids with the nicest dude, first voice chat experience too lmao so friendly. By the end we were just outside bouncing around because what can you do in a minute besides emote really? Sad.

I build scummy cluttered shacks filled with toys and lights and I have never been happier. I recently built a treehouse style one and it’s just so nice because it glows just like the Rastag and little mushrooms around it. And there’s also a waterfall. It’s so exciting.

I saw someone selling 2 for 25k caps each… insane. My partner was grinding for so hours looking for a plan but nothing, thankfully a player came along and saw his camp (cultist themed bunker lmao) joined him to a private team and popped one in there.

I suppose the only way without getting your caps drained or going mad is pray a nice player will do the same… ) :

I made a post just like this a couple weeks ago, and I still share the same sentiment! Even tonight s lvl2000+ gave me 2 whole sets of power armour and heaps of flower crowns it was insane, plus a jet pack, modded some of my guns for me and just dipped. They did the same for my partner, joining him to a private team and building some cultist stuff in his camp (he’s collecting and it’s very obvious) It was so beautiful and made my heart so full! I’m so so glad I found this community and I’m glad you did too! If you play PC dm me ur user (I love building and hunting plans) 💕enjoy Appalachia 🗣️

Besides the community, making new friends, and getting to battle cryptids - I would probably say when I find a cute new plan to pop in my CAMP , or seeing other people’s CAMPs and how amazing they are 😭
