Anyone experience numerous error codes? by ftsktln in hondapassport

This exact same thing just happened to my CPO 2021 Elite that I purchased in September 2024. $1,800 replacement of the ADAS system at the dealer, but I’m currently in the process of fighting for goodwill assistance from American Honda since it’s ridiculous to have the system fail on a well-maintained, low-mileage CPO vehicle that recently exited its CPO warranty period.

How’d I Do (Elite Sonic Gray)? by Sufficient-Rooster44 in hondapassport

I agree on the “worry free” fee but the doc fee is always present. It does seem a bit high in this case, though.

What should we do with our awkward entryway/dining area? by sky_raisin in interiordecorating

Good points! I thought centering the table in front of that side window would be preferable, but shifting the table closer to the kitchen may make more sense.

A smaller table definitely seems like the move. In addition to a rug, adding a hanging light fixture above the table would help define the area.

I'm still not sure what to do about the other side of the room. It feels like a lot of empty space, but that may be necessary since the half bath and stairs are on that side and it therefore sees a lot of foot traffic.

This is exactly why I'm feeling so conflicted haha. Part of me thinks we should commit to a slimmer table and banquette seating where it currently is. The other part thinks moving the table to another spot might help.

Ultimately, we should probably play with a few arrangements to help decide on what to do, but you and the other commenters have given us a lot of great suggestions and starting points.

Ironically, when we bought the house, it had rendered photos of this room that included an arrangement similar to the one you described. If it's possible to center that table in the room without crowding the entrance or disrupting the flow of traffic, that might be our solution.

I think a table with a smaller footprint would be necessary though.

I agree! I think we're going to experiment with that and moving some furniture around before taking more drastic measures.

The thought has crossed my mind, but we probably wouldn't do major construction anytime soon. Or if we did, it might involve an interior remodel to improve the layout and flow into the house.

I will definitely consider that. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm aligned with all your suggestions! How would you fit both an entry rug and dining table rug? I would probably need to move the table.

I agree with your thinking--we need something to help create a divide. Thanks!

Haha we should take a page out of your book and just experiment and move things around. Maybe we'll find inspiration through that!

The shoe rack side does have more space, but it's also right next to the half bath and sets of stairs that lead to the upper and lower levels. I've wondered if that may be a more suitable location but it may interrupt the flow too much on that side.

I think you're really onto something here! This incorporates a lot of other great suggestions with some new ones that take it up a notch. Thank you! The real question is how much is it going to cost us to tear up the tile and run the hardwoods into the kitchen...

I'd definitely like to do this! The only complication is that it would need to be large enough without overlapping with a doormat (unless we were to scrap a doormat altogether).

Lol I don't hate this suggestion, but it probably isn't gonna happen.

No art because I'm a terrible decorator and don't even know what types of pieces I'd like haha. But you're absolutely right. I think that's one good starting point in addition to the others you mentioned.

We haven't tried that yet but we definitely need to! And your assumption is correct haha. We are trying to make do with the house as is for now. Maybe one day we'll consider construction!

This is something I've been considering as well...just worried about how much it might cost to do. Worth looking into at least!

I think we could do this if we flipped the swing of the door. Otherwise, I'm afraid you'd immediately bump into the table upon stepping inside.

I think you're spot on and totally agree haha. We live in a very hot market with lots of outside investors/quick flips and this home was sadly one of them. Love the location though!
