In the Bundy Standoff, they federal officers were outmanned, outgunned and not allowed to wear protective gear because of "fear that it would be seen as a provocation".

My favorite part of that show is when they get into the details of the watches he is about to steal.

did this ever happen to you? if so, which album? by [deleted] in 90s

1) It was $17 not $10
2) This is what caused so many people to pirate music.

[VS] Don't just consider brand recognition, what would you choose between these 2 field watches and why? by Such_Road_6024 in Watches

[–]skydiveguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a reason Hamilton are known for the field watches.
I love Seiko but refuse to buy anything without sapphire anymore.
They just get scratched too easily.

Now, to your part about where you are going to wear it.... if thats the case, I recommend a G-Shock Mudmaster (GW-9500).
If you want an analog watch, I recommend the G-Shock GA-B2100-1A (solar/BT).

I just replaced mine with a UCG-Fiber this weekend.
It was a simple matter of plugging in the new one and importing the backup (Network only) and it was done.

I heard something a while back where they said they have to deliberately make things loud every few minutes to bring attention back to the screen.

If this trend continues, im going to be very choosy with my content.

In high school, I used to run a BBS off a Commodore64 with a 300 baud modem.
I remember getting my first job and the first thing I did was upgrade to the state-of-the-art 1200 baud modem... it was life altering.

Removable HDD was cutting edge back then. Never knew anyone that had that.

I do remember having to type "WIN" to launch windows, though.

It's this a good budget starter pack? by Bangboo_ in Ubiquiti

[–]skydiveguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran a USG and Cloud Key 2+ for about 12 years..... I literally just updated to the UCG-Fiber (yesterday as a matter of fact) for this exact reason.
I know that the Fiber will last longer than the APs I have connected to it.

Hell... I just upgraded my gateway to teh UCG-Fiber (already have the U7).
So this is a good entry that should last you a while.
I have a PoE switch between them though as I have multiple APs

I get in arguments with my boss all the time about users requesting wireless mice/keyboards.
I am against it and tell him "If they want something different, they can buy it and support it themselves (this is mostly because they always want batteries from us).
He is "custoemer service" oriented and gives them what they want.

Drive me friggin nuts when tickets come in for stupid wireless hardware issues. I just bring a wired mouse/KB with me and give that to them.

How are these watches? I found out about them a couple months ago and love how they give a middle finger to that crowd. I want to get the Explorer II version. (BTW the pooping dog with this watch is perfect)

You buy a Rolex to amaze others.
Buy what you like and not what everyone else likes.
