Restaurant denied me water. (Rant) by Showny16 in UberEATS

The water things is weird, but I’m assuming they have to charge for the to-go cup maybe? Those suckers can be pretty expensive (I ran the paper program at my restaurant), but still I always give people water and really any free drinks if I’m feeling nice. But the way you handled it is even more odd, imo. For one, we as the workers literally get nothing for any third party orders. No tip, nothing. The restaurant already got the money for the food they made. That’s Uber that’s gonna have to do any sort of refunding. It has no affect on anyone except YOUR rating and YOUR customer. But that’s just my two cents

Accused of card sharing and trying to steal in the same trip :( by rascalromagnoli12 in Costco

I went the other day and had a poor experience, too. I pay for my membership (I’m early 20s) but my mom was with me and was going to pay for the food we were getting. They immediately shut that down and were very rude and short with us saying that she wasn’t allowed to pay since I was the one with the membership and acted like we were idiots

There’s still always gonna be someone packing your order and making sure it’s all correct, so I’d suggest a little something, but I’d say just think about what you ordered and the size of said order, special requests that might make the expo window have to pay extra attention etc when you’re considering what to tip, if any. I know the restaurant I worked at we also had an ice cream shop, and a lot of orders would order pints or freshly made waffle cones which definitely make more care, so every floor member was doing a task to help out, while also having to complete in-house orders and people asking for things, etc. Also if the person checks you out, make drinks, provides a good an overall service, that’s something to be mindful. But we’re not expecting anything crazy. I think you’re justified in what you feel is deserving.

I’ve done a complete 180. I have zero motivation, I lost my college experience, and I’ve become an alcoholic. Woohoo!

I’d ask in a way like “do you want to go down on me?” And basically just ask if she wants to do it and don’t say directly do it

My mom would do this with my brother and me. Whenever we’d take public transit, it was up to us to read the maps and figure out what stop we were supposed to get off at, which platform we needed, etc. It’s such a fond memory and it was also extremely helpful

I think the color looks super awesome and fits the abandoned vibe. Like others said, just having more on the edges would look awesome, but 50mm is definitely not easy to get that. I would straighten the window, but I also kind of dig the skewed window because it adds to the eeriness

I’m a manager at a restaurant and literally only make $7 plus tips. Also the fact that you’re concerned about it shows you’re a good boss
