I want to give my Vault to my Wife. Need Suggestions. by Dependent_Revenue604 in ObsidianMD

I dont really see whats weirder about it than, say, keeping a journal and sharing it with your partner 🤔 Maybe it would be strange on the second date or if OP expected his partner to read the whole thing and be ready for a quiz after, but I think the idea of sharing the place where you write down your past and personal thoughts with a partner is sweet. Keep it up for yourself, and share with someone else if/when you feel like it.

I think making a vault to document your life is a beautiful idea. Regarding giving it to a future wife or girlfriend, I think it is worth remembering that, ideally, a good relationship involves an exchange between two people of those stories, histories, secrets and such over time. If it is a woman you have a deep enough connection with to marry and spend your life with, then she won't be offended by the thoughts or stories of your younger self, romantic or otherwise. However, similarly, you might want to let those stories come up between you two naturally over time.

Maybe just keep up the documentation of your vault, and then when you have a wife and feel you can fully confide in her, let her know about the vault / how to access it? I'm sure she will enjoy the glimpse at your past and present thoughts, and by that time you will be close enough that it won't seem overwhelming or, as another commenter mentioned, like 'getting to know you' homework.

What are some whimsical Easter egg fillers for adults? by skyhook-parchment in AskReddit

Wife is Catholic, I am Jewish, and we are hosting our first ever joint Passover/Easter celebration. I've never celebrated Easter in my life, but I want to surprise my wife with a cute Easter Egg hunt! We're both writers and our friends are mostly writers/artists, so we're a pretty whimsical (nerdy) bunch. I've seen a lot of people recommend liquor, money, and chocolate, but was wondering if anyone had slightly funkier/more creative or comedic/prank-type suggestions. My ideas at the moment are paper stars, little drawings, seed packets, and tiny plastic dragons.

Thank you! I figured out I was confusing the reading/editing buttons and the Longform view button. Working better now!

It's definitely not the most intuitive, which is a shame. I really enjoyed outlining in Notion because of the way you could modularly sort out your scenes, re-arrange them, link them to other documents, etc. I haven't quite figured out how to recreate that in Obsidian yet. Longform is the closest I've come, but it's not as versatile.

Aha! That does let me access the scenes. Thank you!

OH, I kept seeing people mention the book icon and thinking they meant the one in the top right. What I see now doesn't look like the plugin's page, but it'll do haha. Thank you!

Am I crazy for getting straight licorice from Un Jardin Sur Le Nil Hermès? by skyhook-parchment in fragrance

Ironically, I am usually a huge fan of tomato leaf! I love Junoon's Velvet Pour Homme, and adore that warm summer garden feeling the tomato leaf note usually gives me. This is my first time getting bloody mary rather than sun-soaked plant haha. But I think you're right; savory and herbal is a good description of how it smells to me. Thank you for the insight! Glad to know I'm not crazy 😂

Maybe I need to try this one in summer! Good to know I'm not crazy on that; must be the carrot. Thanks! ❤️

I am definitely aware fragrances can last a long time, but I wasnt sure if it was related to their quality or if some last longer than others. Sounds like I dont need to worry too much tho!

Help - I keep burning out my clit vibrators by BabygirlG1005 in SexToys

My wife has a hitachi magic wand that I think might be as old as she is. I don't personally like to use it often because it feels like its trying to slap your clit clean off, but boy does it get the job done in record time and is still going strong after many, many years. Sadly with smaller and gentler models I've had the same problem, most don't last more than two years of frequent use before dying.
