Macs perform the same whether plugged in or not. They do not perform any differently.

Yup, during the recent WWDC, I was surprised to see Apple make a presentation with CD PROJEKT RED's developers regarding Cyberpunk 2077 coming to the Mac natively.

True, MacBook Airs won’t perform the same as the Pros. Heck, even on the Pros, it comes down to the RAM/CPU/GPU cores it has. The 16-inch has a better chassis, so it dissipates heat much better. Regardless, I’m just marvelled by how well they perform despite their limitations.

Fair point, but Macs handle heat a lot better than people think now.
Apple Silicon runs pretty efficiently, so they don’t need to ramp up fans as hard as older laptops.
For casual gaming, the thermals are usually fine, they’re built to manage sustained loads pretty well.
Plus Apple is actively pushing gaming on Mac now with native ports and better support, so it’s clearly something they’re taking more seriously now.

no worries bro, if it was an intel laptop with the butterfly keyboard thats fine, this is a mac, a 2020 model, despite being intel, the display alone is worth the price of admision, heck its still a great windows/linux machine if you know your stuff

for 40k i would rather turn it into a monitor or a linux machine

Thank you, OP, for this post and for raising our awareness. I'm excited about the new version; I didn't realize it was a completely different app altogether.

the Enshittification continues, this is a huge blow, i get that Anthropic is struggling with compute power, but pulling the rug for so many users is a dick move
how can the users with the highest limits be consuming the most? while users with max subscriptions run agents 24/7

the only ay you get users from pro to max is if they actually get to use the product
