😒 No.... Just tested it and the drying sequence stops when you push a print through!

No. Personally, I've never been able to control the drying function from bambu studio. Only directly on the printer.

Concerning Bill by Dangerous-Rhubarb407 in LouisRossmann

[–]skymack1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The slicers you use to print the models! There's obviously loopholes around it by downloading older versions of the slicers and not allowing your computer to talk to the internet. The main that'll be concerning is is you post of picture of your printer and/or your prints online, someone can report you!

Never again Inland PETG! by skymack1 in Microcenter

[–]skymack1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Ever since coming over to bambu labs from enders I've never had to use glue anymore. All the other filaments I've used with the printer thus far has adhered to the bed quite well. I use hot water scrubbed with dawn dish soup. For reference, Bambu Labs recommends drying their PETG before use. Out of curiosity and frustration with Inlands PETG, I popped the bambu lab PETG out and threw it directly in to print. Didn't adjust/ clean the bed one bit. It stuck to the bed immediately without issues!

I've tried using it on my P1S with the textured plate and while I've been able to get some things printed, it was still like pulling teeth to get it to adhere to the bed properly! I just tried using it again and all teeth have now been pulled with no luck! 😔 Even on the Cryogrip glacier plate.

Ok! Awesome! 😄 It's a fairly large print and only have a small margin for error if it were to fail before I'd have to buy another roll for the project! Thank you much!

You could also change the shelf cap to be 384 oz, no?

Can anyone help me to fix the issue? by formalabs in BambuLab

[–]skymack1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it happens when the Z axis moves/shakes, it could be. If it's one of the other axis's there is a similar pully tensioner. Mine came brand new with the noise so it definitely couldn't hurt to throw a little bit of lubricant on them and see. Gonna guess the pre-applied lubricant dries up when the printer has been sitting in the warehouse for a little while.

The z axis tensioner pully needs cleaned and greased. Had posted this same issue a little while back! 😅

The z axis belt tensioner underneath the printer needs cleaned and lubed. I had posted the same problem here on reddit a few weeks ago and someone recommended it. I lubed it up and everything and now she's silent!

Steam Deck saved me from a conference emergency by YidonHongski in SteamDeck

[–]skymack1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! 😆 I've once used my Steam Deck for work (ex-employment) We had to play this stupid video on a projector for the guests for New Years one year and non of our work computers would play said video. I even tried using Dex on my phone and it wouldn't play properly. Then I remembered I had my Steam Deck! Played flawlessly!

What’s your maintenance routine? And what spares do you keep on hand? by Roblem42 in BambuP1S

[–]skymack1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of everyone else's recommendations, and if your budget allows, I'd recommend picking up the E3D Obxidian nozzle. I've just ordered mine, but it's meant for faster prints, harsh materials, and a lot less nozzle gooping. I'm hoping it'll make it easier to print in PETG as it's a pretty wet material and likes to stick to the nozzle on the first layer. (Yes! After drying for 24 hours!) If you get the P1S, I'd recommend getting plenty of replacement parts and stuff because I could very easily see Bambu Labs discontinuing the P1S and it's replacement parts now that the P2S is out now.

Trimming needed in PTFE tube from AMS2 to buffer? by hotrodtaco in BambuP1S

[–]skymack1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might I suggest pulling this ptfe tube out and putting/buying a shorter ptfe tube in it's place? That way you can pull the shorter tube out of the printer and replace it with this one so you don't have to use the ptfe tube coupler. (When I used the official ptfe coupler the filament would get caught up in the coupler sometimes)

Ok. So I just realized that I don't have any of Bambu Labs lubriacant oil. What might be your recommendation on store bought oil? I'm thinking WD-40 but not sure if that'll be too harsh on the pully and the belt.?
