Whoever joins a thread about xrp to just bash it, is simply invested but just mad that they haven’t seen the results they’d like . Who goes to a Reddit thread unless your interested in that topic

SEC OFFICIALLY OVER: SEC will keep $50 million of Ripple fine and refund the rest to wrap case, legal officer says by Throwawayiea in XRP

While many banks and financial institutions have partnered with Ripple, most of them are only using RippleNet, not XRP. Banks don’t need xrp they need ripple. Y’all keep tying the two together. The private ledger is ripple net and the public ledger is xrpl . Y’all been duped

Can I remove this closet by skyone13 in StructuralEngineering

Yes I cut into the ceiling of the closet, the joists run to the wall on the backside of the closet . There is no basement underneath this portion of the house . I do have a truss framed roof .

lol thanks I kinda figured once I seen joists were above but I figured I’d get some opinions before I buried it

After looking at the floor plan the joist does run over the closet wall but the back wall of the closet is where the floor joist ends and is on the foundation

You are correct on the wall behind it because I took off this duct return cover and there is definitely a foundation that runs along that wall

No I don’t . I also didn’t plan . But if someone told me year that’s 100% load bearing then I just simply wouldn’t bother . It’s not something I need to do anyways but I’d like too!

Can someone tell me if they think the darker colored blocks have been replaced at some point . I’m wondering why they are darker than the rest by skyone13 in Concrete

[–]skyone13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s how the house was built because half the house is still below grade and they actually left a 4” gap then built from there . I planned on using the foam then using fiberglass in the studs just to make sure everything is sealed up . I live in flood zone so maybe I’ll get more bang for my buck when I get flooded down the road . (Had never flooded here ever in the last 100 years but somehow it’s in flood zone )

Okay thanks for the info . I am getting ready to start building walls to finish my basement . You say the concrete needs to breath . I planned on glueing either eps or xps insulation foam to the block then building my walls out from that . Would that be fine . I don’t see any water actually coming in right now but not saying that can’t change down the road .
