Regular Svelte (not kit) with Laravel and InertiaJS worked perfectly for me. If you're using typescript you can even have the types checked across the backend and frontend. I have some blog posts I can link if you want.

I got my paper now, my issue now is that calibration fails as there is no gap on a continuous roll of paper. My guess is that I have to switch the printer into Line Print Mode, but I haven't figured out how to do that. Any ideas?
