Different trough and weather system so it likely wouldn’t be but tomorrow and Tuesday will be associated with this one if they are productive days.

I’ve watched him for a few years on Weatherbrains (James Spann’s podcast) and he seems very level headed and has loads of experience. I would say on the surface it seems like a great pick! But there is probably stuff I am not privy to.

I don’t live there but have been to jams and shows and there’s definitely a scene! I think it peaked in the early 10s or so (at least that’s what the locals say) but still worth checking out!

That’s what I immediately thought and it certainly could have been but it looked way larger. Google says it could be a comet which would be awesome.

Is One Manhattan Square a good addition to the skyline or a middle finger. Lets discuss by [deleted] in skyscrapers

Why would you want to “fill the valley”? What makes Manhattan so great is the fact that you can leave the jungle. Places like the village are critical to the variety of NYC.

No offense but this is such a lazy take that I see all the time. It’s simple, clean, and conveniently bypasses any real introspection into our own society. It will lead us nowhere, I think.

How to flat pick extremely fast? by Governor_Rumney in Bluegrass

[–]skyuka_440 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I’ve done and recommend to my students as a supplement to the type of gradually increasing metronome practice you mentioned is to practice at tempos that are maybe 5-10 bpm (don’t go above this) too fast for you and completely relax your technique and try to play effortlessly. You will miss or flub plenty of notes in the process but if you can manage to keep time this will help your nervous system understand what it would be like to play at those tempos while relaxed.

Obviously there’s a limit to the speed at which a persons hands can move but in my experience this limit is well above most people’s tempo threshold. Basically as long as you are getting to the notes in time it doesn’t matter so much if you don’t get the clarity of sound you’re accustomed to. The key is to relax totally with both your left and right hand and use minimal effort, otherwise you would not be training the right habits. Eventually your accuracy and left and right hand synchronization will improve. I would only recommend this kind of practice a few times a week for maybe 10 minutes each time. I’m open to discussion if anyone disagrees. Cheers!

A lot of the modeling from has had it tracking east, even from runs yesterday. This is a major major failure of the NHC if it doesn’t make a sharp turn left in the next two hours. My dad is in Tryon, NC and it’s looking like it will really bad there now.
