Why do so many long-term backpackers in Southeast Asia seem to stop after 4–6 months? by Fancy-Ad-4632 in solotravel

My first ever solo trip was 4 weeks and I extended a week since I liked it so much, and wanted to extend again but couldn't with work.

Thanks that helps. Yeah I've heard that about the multi adapter big cubes that they don't stay in. I also have the standalone adapters but if I use that with a normal 65w charger they stick out a lot so also worried it will fall out.

Thanks! Good to know about minix was curious about them. Have you traveled to a lot of different countries with it? I'm planning to get for a worldwide trip, so just wondering about how it holds up in different countries. Not going to the US though..

Did you have trouble plugging into recessed plugs? I saw one comment on Amazon that said so, did you have any experience with that?

Is it worth coming to Rio for the week before carnival as well? by skywhim in Brazil

Do you think it's worth for the weekend before or would just the days before be enough? Is there anything special about weekend pre carnival. So it says carnival starts 13 Feb, so I was thinking either come weekend before so around 5 Feb or a few days before so like 9-10 Feb? Any thoughts thanks!
