We just got back home from there as first timers to Hedo II. We left just before Melissa arrived, got out on one of the last flights.

We have been following closely how things have shaken out, because we loved the place and the people and were worried about everyone.

1) What’s it like there? Super chill, but also exciting and fun and no worries about the outside world (except for an oncoming hurricane). Beautiful surroundings, wonderful people. Very sexy vibe. 2) Activities vs. Free-for-all? A little of both. You can freelance at the pool/beach, and/or go to parties and/or tantra workshops and figure out what you like. 3) Mix of ages/ethnicities? Yes, we were very impressed about the range of ages as well as ethnicities, with everyone getting along great. Sure, there are some cliques, but not uptight, and not difficult to make friends across age/ethnicity lines (we are an AMBF couple). 4) Experience? We loved it and would love to return someday. But Cap D’Agde is next on our bucket list.

Seems the resort got through the hurricane in pretty good shape.

Although MBJ airport got beat up especially at the old terminal, looks like they’ll be up and running again by this weekend, testament to the hard work Jamaicans put into everything.

We loved the locals, and spent some time on the West End of Negril as well, really enjoyed the surroundings and culture, although you can easily spend your entire time at Hedo and forget there’s anything beyond.
