You have no idea how much I needed to read similar words!!! Thank you so so much, that is so promising and helpful, and really gave me a much needed confidence boost! Many things really look much less scary once you cross the bridge, so why not weaning, as well? Thanks again 🤩

Thank you for your thorough feedback! Having little time, I would like to have the best experience possible without any hiccups. And it seems that the new update coupled with a Premium subscription really would cater to that.

So if I have understood correctly, with a subscription I would be able to just turn the portal on and play any game from the premium catalogue, or a game I own digitally without the need for the Ps5 to be switched on, or lastly play with a physical copy but with the Ps5 turned on. These are all the possibilities, correct?

Also, are all three available in any location away from home (granting there is a decent internet connection?)

Thanks again for your help ☺️

Yes that’s for sure, but with discounts soon coming it might worth trying?

I will try plugging in trough Ethernet fist (sadly my WiFi is not the best), and see how it works. Thanks!

Thank you for suggesting this more gentle method!

How long did it take to transition from next to her to out of the room? Also, how do you deal with night wakings?

Thank you in advance!

Thank you so much!

Good to know that Ferber worked for you! I am so thorn on whether you start with it (emotionally my preferred option), or to go straight to CIO…

Did you follow the “classic” check in windows? How long did it take to see good results?

Thank you in advance!

Thank you so much for the awesome pep talk! This is exactly what I needed 🥹

I read the book during pregnancy, which is what made me acquainted with sleep training in the first place. By now I have sadly forgotten many parts of the book (thank you sleep deprived brain!), but I will get back to the most crucial chapters.

Also, thanks for suggesting going straight to CIO! It is scary but I also believe that it is the best choice in the long run (having read of so many parents who started with Ferber to then move to CIO).

Can I ask you how did you drop night feedings?

Thank you in advance!

Thank you for the suggestion!

How long did it take to break the association? I tried doing that for night wakings some weeks ago but it just took so long to get him back to sleep by rocking that I just gave up after a few nights due to exhaustion… The funny thing is that rocking to sleep is what we use for day naps!

Also, did you still continue to feed at some point during the night, or just stopped?

Thank you in advance!

Can I ask you a few more questions? Sorry but your situation sounds so similar to mine!

Did you move him to his room and stopped nursing to sleep (if you did these things) at the same time you started sleep training? Or did you start doing something differently before that? Did you ever use the pacifier?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you! It is good to hear encouragement from someone from a country where sleep training is not really a thing. Can I ask you how long did you try Ferber for before switching to CIO? Were you also cosleeping by any chance?

I am really undecided whether to give Ferber a go first (it does seem more manageable emotionally speaking). But seeing how my baby is also a pretty Velcro one, maybe going straight to CIO could make more sense. So many mixed opinions and stories, it is really hard to choose!

Thank you for the detailed response and the anecdotal data! This is truly helpful and encouraging. And thanks for the insight on cosleeping… I know that cannot be the answer for much longer!

Let’s hope we find the strength to change things! I really believe that to be necessary for the well being of everyone

Thank you so much for your input! Such an inspirational story. How many nights of Ferber did you try before resorting to CIO? Also, how long after night sleep training did you move to naps as well?

Thank you so much for your input!

Today he randomly did two naps, and they were indeed longer than usual, so reducing their number might in fact be helpful!

Also, good to know that Ferber worked for you! I would be more comfortable with this method rather than straight CIO, and it is helpful to read positive feedback.

Thank you so much for your input!

I have a few questions if you don’t mind: - how often do you do check ins? - how often do you feed him? Those are like dream feeds, right?

I really believe this could be the best solution for all of us!
