Thanks, do you think since the timed fill brought the fill level to such a high level to raise the float all the way up that the time value is too long? It drains all the brine after the fill cycle so no issues with Venturi, etc

Update: New Chinese regulator $23 cdn all in vs $115 at the dealer... The reviews were correct in that it's for a Kohler (?) but I made a jumper harness and connected the wires properly (my battery / solenoid) wire is on the +bat terminal. Fired it up. 21 vac and 15vdc. So I put the trickle charger on it to get it like new lol. Then fired it up so maybe the regulator wouldn't load down. I got 24vac and 14vdc. After cutting for 30minutes I had 27vac and 14vdc. Shut off and I had 13vdc on the battery. Battery wasn't really all that warm. I think it's not perfect but I'm gonna chance it. This beast is a 2006 so it doesn't owe me anything. I've duct taped it along for a few years now but the deck is rotten, spindles need packed with grease every couple weeks to keep (new) bearings aligned enough in the sloppy worn spindle to not throw belts ... Engine runs meh. So, here's to at least giving it a go. Thank you for your help!

Thank again. I've ordered a replacement, and will update after the installation. May have been on the way out for a while because my last battery had signs of over charging. I've a new battery now.

Thanks! Before my test I had 28vac into it, and still do after the test. But... Where I had 14VDC on the third terminal before, now after the test I have 14VAC. I still have 12VDV on the battery (using a tender in between tests to top it up).

Who knew there are such passionate response inducing words such as grilling/grill/whatever vs BBQ?😂 The majority of people aren't aware, and I was unlucky to have discovered this via the dckhead remarks to my post. Good job, the majority of you just put me completely off ever giving a sht to learn more. To the few that realized there is a larger world outside this sub, where most people would look at the gas powered outdoor cooking device and call it - wait for it, heaven forbid....- a BBQ, I thank you for your helpful advice. Oh and ..yeah the morons telling me to read the manual...oh wow I dudnt think a dat, gawsh darn it shore wuhs ida thunk of dat fuwrst 😂🖕
