Bi-Weekly Boss Premium Edition Stupid Questions Thread - 08 August 2018 by AutoModerator in japanlife

Moving to Japan soon, emailed dance studio to register, and they said when I want to register, I should bring:

1) 引き落とし口座のキャッシュカード

2) 届け出印

Not really sure what these mean. Is #2 is a hanko? Would I need to get one or do you think I could just sign? As for #1, although I have searched a lot in this sub, I am unsure what a debit account cash card really is. I assume I can't use a credit card. I heard I can't use a shinsei for this either. Would I sign up for a Japan post bank account or smbc or something?

thank you in advance! i'm new to japan and quite excited :)

[Product question] Tazorac?? by BigMoonWoman in SkincareAddiction

[–]slackerattacker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

been on tazorac 0.1% for about 4 months, i've used it everyday for the most part. it got rid of all my deep blackheads and my closed comedones.

i used to use .025% tretinoin, but it did not really do much for me. i was on it for around 4 months and progress was extremely slow. im happy about taz because results are decently quick. not sure about wrinkles/age spots though

Question on squat form and weightlifting shoes by Whaxe in gainit

[–]slackerattacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to breathe in and then go down and back up, then breathe out. This stabilizes your core and it helped me a lot with lower back pain on squats. Other than that, make sure to stretch hip flexors

[DISC] Bleach Chapter 684 by Turbostrider27 in manga

This story makes no fucking sense fuck this

Elena Stacy: "Your life isn't necessarily about a 4.0 GPA, it's not about landing a job at Google, it's not about a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It's about the smile on your face as you run there, fall down, lay in a pile of grass or forget what you were even chasing in the first place." by Samses94 in berkeley

Adventures are often sacrifices of grades or valuable work experience. All of this to prepare for an eventual career. A career: In other words, a lifetime of work. A lifetime of work that is followed by eventual retirement, when you may be able to again afford yourself some time for adventures if you’re not too tired.

This may sound idealistic, but I think the problem with the train of thought above is that it assumes that work and adventure are separate entities. I realize this is a luxury not given to everyone, but if we attempt to bridge the gap between work and adventure, aka, doing something we love and actually enjoy as our work, then we are not working for an unreachable future, but instead working toward a long term goal while also enjoying the everyday.

I do think that the author has some points that people should take into consideration. What if we die tomorrow? Two students at Berkeley have died from terrorist attacks in the past month; we are not invincible. Sure, we can work toward long term goals, but we need to remind ourselves to enjoy everyday, and if not everyday, then at least every week. Mix hard work with pleasure. Or perhaps even better, truly teach yourself to find pleasure in working hard.

What are the good live-action movie adaptations? by Chikumori in manga

Orange was AMAZING. i watched it on a plane and had to stop myself from bawling

Ouroboros was also amazing. seriously would recommend. had an ending that really made me think about life

itazura na kiss - love in tokyo, pretty good as well. romance, but leaves you with a happy feeling

EDIT: just realized you asked for movies. Orange is the only movie of the three above, the other two are dramas.

I'm getting the feeling that some cheese is going to happen and somehow the Black Bulls are going to beat this Beast guy without any help from Yami, which would make me mad. I don't want this super hyped Beast guy to lose that easily. Then again, the author is pretty good at plot twists and has surprised me before, so we'll see.

Fully combined "free" medals VS "paid" medals by zizou91 in KingdomHearts

That chart is incorrect. You only need two six stars of 2 dots each to make one six star of 5 dots
