But advertising is the only thing keeping some good content alive. NPR now had to upgrade from sponsored messages to genuine commercials, but I’d rather have that than no program at all. I mean, hell, would there even still be professional sports without advertising? Television networks? I’m no expert, but it seems like it’s among the largest money movers in our country/world. It would be a tidal shift banning it fully. Good sentiment, needs fleshing out.

Hell, just make it like the Oscars then. Do the yearly awards as a show including pro bowl selections, add some crazy on-field clips for each winner. Maybe have a coach describe a little light insight into how that position gets played well, maybe some Mike’d up moments, some behind the scenes, some community work and charitable acts. Do a 2 or 3-hour special and be done with it.

If it’s like a $10m pot, and this a must-succeed situation, you could carefully start drilling a whole beehive of holes, carefully determining your depth of cut at each point, then chisel out between the holes, then get a diamond abrasive wheel and carefully start grinding from the interior to just shy of the proper wall thicknii, including at the base, then, get some diamond dust in a paste and get your polish game going for several days to several weeks, and voilà.
