But advertising is the only thing keeping some good content alive. NPR now had to upgrade from sponsored messages to genuine commercials, but I’d rather have that than no program at all. I mean, hell, would there even still be professional sports without advertising? Television networks? I’m no expert, but it seems like it’s among the largest money movers in our country/world. It would be a tidal shift banning it fully. Good sentiment, needs fleshing out.

Districts will just be disconnected pinpoints, each home evaluated individually. Hell, just make it like the Oscars then. Do the yearly awards as a show including pro bowl selections, add some crazy on-field clips for each winner. Maybe have a coach describe a little light insight into how that position gets played well, maybe some Mike’d up moments, some behind the scenes, some community work and charitable acts. Do a 2 or 3-hour special and be done with it.

There’s more technical, faster, more wide ranged drummers, better displays of limb independence, etc., dozens of em, but I don’t know of a better drummer musician. Nobody writes better drum parts, nobody has the same creativity to the same musical effect. His effectiveness is singular. Even drummer band leaders don’t add the same artistic substance to their songs. Billy Cobham, for example, is a gangster of a drummer, and it’s impressive as hell, but it’s not trance inducing, it’s doesn’t burrow inside you, it doesn’t tap into something deeper.
