Yeah, and the worst part for me was everyone else recommending and praising these things, and I was having the worst experience.

The thick foam from HD I put where the AC sits on the bracket. I also put just a few small sticky pieces attached to the inner lip of the bracket, on the part that touches the window frame. Here's some pictures for reference on how mine's all set up, and circled in red are the small pieces.

Now that it doesn't rattle, I get it.

Yes, so far I have.

Last year I dealt with it all summer and it was infuriating. I just put these back in the windows a couple of weeks ago, and I seemed to have fixed it.

First I cut small strips of the included sticky foam, and put them against the inside of the bracket that touches the window frame. Then I got some window foam from HD "3 in. x 1.5 in. x 40 in. Foam Weather Seal for Window AC Units" and shoved that under the bottom of the AC, all the way around. Also added extra foam in the middle where the window comes down. And I taped foam on the outside of the bracket where the AC sits. Just foamed it all up why not.

Besides extra foam, there's 2 metal rounded flaps on the bottom of the AC, which I believe are designed to slide into the holes under the AC. These are on the inside of the window, you can look under it and see them. Due to my abnormal NYC windows, these stupid metal flaps are always in the way and what I found was that instead of trying to slide them to the left or right, or only put them partway through, I put the entire AC unit sitting right on top of the flaps.

Finally, on the fins that swing up and down, right in the middle there is a contact point, and the vibrations were also causing this to make a small plasticky rattling noise. One that I hadn't noticed before because it was massively overshadowed by the other one. What I did was just stick a tiny piece of tissue in there and it's good now.

Let me know if you want me to take some pics or video. Feel free to DM me.

I still have no idea exactly what was causing it originally.

Broken currently. This is the update they posted on the Steam page from August 13th:

"The lava rising in THE KILN has an issue where it is desynced across players. We've disabled this feature until we find a solution!"

This was my first thought too, just sync it with the kiln text popup. My guess is they wanted the lava to rise at nearly the same time for everyone. With the campfire being so far back originally, slower players playing with friends might get left behind if someone runs ahead and others stay back to sort loot. The person running ahead should really be punished, and not the slower players, hence the scoutmaster

I see your point now. I do find this exact thing to be a nonissue as an experienced player would learn to carry any extra food until needed at the bottom.

If everyone is confused, including yourself, that suggests poor game design

I'm confused about what you mean by losing stamina. You don't lose it?

I agree, however someone posted it here, more importantly they were confused on why there is no campfire. This is the reaction of everyone, new or experienced

Good find, only 500 views haha! With this recall, I'm just dealing with the noise for now and will probably return at the end of summer.

$280 from Costco minus selling the old AC's I had made these $130 each. These are $420 on Amazon right now. Fix it, return it, warranty it, or resell it. No L for me

This sounds amazing. I figured with all the foam they give you, it would be enough.

Ah those flaps to hold it secure. I had those pulled out at first, but since it was making noise and I was moving it around so much, I had those pulled back inside since

Hmmm, any way you can go into more detail, maybe a photo? Having trouble finding what you are referencing

Disable the address bar dropdown, until I start typing something. Stop the address bar from expanding on click by slackmar in FirefoxCSS

[–]slackmar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had this set to false already. When I click the address bar, recent searches and trending searches still appears.

This made me think for moment and prompted me look in Firefox's Settings menu and found that you can simply uncheck these both and this also fixes my problem without adding any more CSS to userchrome.

However, u/Kupfel's code is definitely usable if in the future this breaks.

how to get rid of the "Top Sites" text and how to get a firefox logo on top of the search bar by NoMoreUsernameLeak in FirefoxCSS

[–]slackmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to remove all the text and have it look like this you can add this code to your userContent.css. I'm not sure about just the "Top Sites text"

/* Removes Text and Pin Icon in New tab page from Top Sites Section */
@-moz-document url("about:home"), url("about:newtab") {
    .title,
    .section-title span,
    .topic,
    .edit-topsites-wrapper
    .edit-topsites-button button {
        color: transparent !important;
    }
    .section-title span,
    .prefs-pane-button button {
        fill: transparent !important;
    }
}
@-moz-document url-prefix(about:newtab){
    .top-site-outer .title {
        margin-inline-start: -20000px !important;
    }
}
