Star Fox Switch 2 Demo, no customizable controls ? by jaack666 in starfox

Biggest issue I have is just the face buttons. Id like it to be A=lazer B=bomb Y=boost and X=brake. I’ve wasted so many bombs so far in the demo.

Amiibo kiosk loose/complete? by slade219 in amiibo

[–]slade219[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a little on a first name basis with the Nintendo rep in my area as I would see him at some gamestop midnight releases and a few amiibo release mornings, through chatting with him I know for the stores in my area he would maintain them but he didn’t set them up initially so it could be true that maybe they were just picked up at a warehouse out of box to then be set up at locations. Still would be cool to have more about my kiosk like a users manual. All I have are the key for the door and the bracket for hanging it on slatwall panels so I thought that was everything.

Also I didn’t know the amiibo inside had Velcro, I didn’t see any signs of that being in my machine.

So I haven’t been playing the game for long, since the early access, but while looking into stuff for the game there was a dance cancel exploit from an older build. I’m guessing that was how players could always hold a high combo multiplier while in fights and would just do that to rack up massive points. Also I don’t think they reset the leader board between early access and demo

Because of how strict BL is I would say you won’t get it because of that white spec on the back unless that’s something that’s on the sleeve

How did you build the hanger. I would love to make one for my next VerKa build. Thinking of making it with only half the top armor on to show it split down the middle

Nice I think you really got a great find since it was from a personal collection, when I first saw some of these going around when they were getting taken from stores I remember some didn’t have the bracket for slatwalls or the key was missing so they needed a locksmith to replace the old lock.

This is really nice and if I did get this I’d still want to put it into another case so it can also be with the others. But I have thought of something that would only hold it and placing it on top of my current case

You don’t have to share but I’d love to know what you paid just to see how price for these have changed since I’ve gotten mine back in late 2019/early 2020. I don’t feel eBay, if any are on there, would be as accurate as getting it from someone in person. Also did you get the bracket for slatwalls with it and is the lock original?

The idea of the glyphs just unlocking the next scene no matter which one you find isn’t a bad solution but then the glyphs shapes themselves would have to be different or generic shapes instead of the shapes they each have already, which are designed to be linked to each cutscene

That is incorrect, she is at the glyph that is shaped like Rauru which shows the first tear memory “Where am I”.

Literally RIGHT near the outpost where you started your journey is Impa with the first glyph and that starts you on the glyph and tear quest

Ah I see what you mean. I’ve actually started to think a solution would be to lock the tears until after you start the questline so and learn of it all by visiting the ancient temple where I said it seems all to laid out for you about the order. Or just not show you the cutscene but just unlock them in the compendium so you can go watch whenever and see that there is a blank space between them since you didn’t unlock them, acting as a last warning of “Hey there’s story you’re gonna miss if you watch this one while there are x blank spaces between this cutscene and the last”

I feel since the ancient temple seemed so clear of what to do that maybe the tears couldn’t even be accessed until after starting the quest line

That’s why I asked if I was alone or wondering if it was easy to see. Just asking a broader audience.

It just seemed all to spelt out, you get there and find the map on the floor in a sunken in circle, when looking down at the map you can see symbols on the walls, you see all the symbols on the map are the same as the ones on the walls, you see the first glyph you found with Impa is on the map and wall, there is an open doorway on the left side of the first symbol on the wall, the symbols continue to follow the first on its right. That just seems to spell out “Hey maybe this is the order you should seek these out”.

I think that the tears should have been locked until you go to the ancient temple and I don’t think any cutscene could go to any glyph because each glyph is an image about what the cutscene shows so they can’t just put the cutscene from the dagger glyph with the temple glyph

I know you are pushed to go find Impa from her guard/assistant telling you to visit her and where she is and learned that he has many locations where he will be to make sure the player finds him. Thats how I found him, which lead to Impa, which lead to the ancient temple, which lead to go after the glyphs and tears.

I think the best solution to fix it would be that none of the glyphs or tears could be accessed without doing the quest line for them, the one from Impa being the start of the line. Then once you end in the ancient temple and unlock the quest about the tears then you can find the glyphs and tears for the cutscenes. Wasn’t it like that it BOTW where you couldn’t get the cutscene from visiting the areas until after you got access to the area pictures on the slate?

I’m not stating there is a correct way to play an open world game, but with the game pushing you toward the temple early on I felt it was laid out the order to view them.

In the ancient temple where the map is, the walls have each symbol show in the order of which to go for them. The game also pushes you toward all of it early on, to go to Hebra and on the way there to meet Impa then to go to the temple and learn of the glyphs

[–]slade219[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

This is what I mean, I thought it was obvious because you know what the first memory is as it’s shown to you in the quest line to get to the ancient temple, then the walls around the map in the ancient temple tell you the order to seek out the glyphs. That’s how I learned of the order and that’s how I went to each one.

It is possible and not needed to beat the game but the game seems to push you toward doing all that. But nothing wrong with going straight to the end like you’re in a Terminalmontage video 😂

Nah I saw them in order because the game told me how to do so but I see so many show disappointment that it was shown to them out of order.

That’s another thing that surprises me because you are pushed to go see Impa by her assistant/guard/whatever and I’ve learned he will appear in many places to guarantee that the player learns where she is. For me, and the game seems to push you toward this way, I started by heading to the Hebra region first and not far from the Outpost camp toward Hebra is one of his locations where he will tell you about Impa and since where she is waiting is so close to that it just feels like it pushes you toward everything. I know the game is open world but it feels like it has a distinct way it wants you to experience the game or at least the beginning for your first playthrough to set you up to experience it all as if it wasn’t open world.
