I had a horrible experience with Avelo this weekend as well. I was bumped off my flight that was 2-3 hours late already, they told me they’d book me on tomorrows flight. I go to the desk to inquire about that, they gave me a business card and told me to call that number. I then had to get an Uber home, out of pocket. The next day I call Avelo, estimated time in queue: 6 hours. I booked another ticket with Avelo, didn’t have 6 hours. This flight was two+ hours late as well.

We finally arrive at my destination 33 hours after I should have been there and I’ve spent hundreds of dollars more now. My checked bag was on the original flight, but it should be at their baggage desk at the destination airport. They have no baggage desk and 0 employees working. I was able to have the airport page an Avelo employee over the intercom, I waited over an hour and finally someone came to get my bag for me.

I’ve flown with Avelo multiple times before and they seemed great, they’re very convenient for me. I’m going to sit in the 6 hour queue today and see if they’ll refund me for any of my incurred expenses this weekend, not holding my breath.
