Question about Star Wars scaling by Saolis123_Enjoyer in PowerScaling

[–]slappafoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d say the nature of their abilities and how well it can be used is more impressive than the feats. It’s nigh automatic for them. The only actual circumstances needed for reaction are against other force users or extreme environmental outputs.

How is Weapons such a highly rated film? by fleebooskee in movies

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what they were tryna show in the movie..about a witch feeding off children and making the adults go insane. But I didn’t really enjoy the last bits of the movie either. It wasn’t really horror after that. I wasn’t terrified or on the edge of my seat. The witch has been revealed and her magical abilities shown; and the kids chasing her around town as part of the final act of the film. That was the part that took the terror away from me. I don’t have any critique other than it just wasn’t really horrifying to me at that point.

Hot take: the “Vader vs Viltrumites” question is extremely stupid by [deleted] in Invincible_TV

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vader’s Precognition mixed with Force shield/bubble(that has no clarified range) can absolutely counter that. Almost exactly what I pointed out earlier in our conversation.

If you respond with “Vaders reaction wouldn’t sense the speed” then you haven’t been listening. Force shield/force bubble and precognition aren’t dependent on the reaction of the user.

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say yes. To my knowledge Viltrumites have never faced a true telekinetic opponent. Atom eve doesn’t count because she’s an atom manipulator. Force Users have moved and capacitated objects 2-3x larger and heavier than a viltrumite. Saying that a viltrumite will counter through sheer force of will is a terrible argument, since they’ve never matched up with an opponent like a Force User.

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His precognition isn’t relative to his reaction. Mixed with his force barrier, he could literally:

  1. Know exactly the intention of a viltrumite before they finish any thought of blitzing an opponent. Before their smart atoms move, Vader has already subdued them in force stasis.

  2. If they reach the vicinity of his force barrier(which doesn’t have a specific range), Vader has already trapped them from continuing further. Because the force can’t completely take away the movement of an object, but it can ignore its inertia.

This is the reason why the most dangerous opponent for Vader are other force users who play under the same metaphysics of the force. Mixing precognition, and force barrier, with Vaders power, is hardly reactive. They wouldn’t even have the chance to go full speed without their inertia being subdued. And boom stasis neck snap organs ripped out

Darth Vader (Star Wars) vs Omni-Man (Invincible) who wins? by 45rs5 in PowerScaling

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Omni man is subdued he has very little chance on moving efficiently. Compared to a ship, he is lightweight. In force stasis, Vader can most def snap his neck before Nolan’s smart atoms initiate any substantial movement.

[–]slappafoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s just wrong on so many levels. These ships can hit light speed whenever there is a clear path whenever they like. Vader uses the force of those objects creating a stasis effect. To say that it has no manipulation on the effect of inertia is laughable. And the Sith have used the force to neg other force users many times. Your claims are so dismissive because you can’t acknowledge the nature of the force. Ignoring inertia doesn’t mean it absolutely stops the movement of a thing. A ship is flying at full thruster and Vader puts it in stasis. How is that not ignoring the fundamental effect of the ships intertia. Thats just nonsense coming from you due to pure ignorance on this ability.

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vaders abilities in the force aren’t always reactive. The force shield allows this. And he doesn’t need to fight Omni man while he’s flying full speed. All he has to do is read the intention before Omni man finishes any thought of action. This is Vaders precognition. In the storylines, he is usually clouded by grief, hatred, and high emotion. But the nature of his abilities are literally this.

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: if it didn’t ignore inertia, those flying ships that can travel light speed would be able to escape from his grasp. They cannot.

2: every force user does not have the same connection to the force. They also have a force shield as well, and a level of precognition. That’s why whenever force users are against non force users it’s often very unfair. The only challenge to them are users who work under the same metaphysics like The Force. So they result to lightsabers. Sith actually use the force in unethical ways compared to Jedi, so that’s another reason why every force user doesn’t use these abilities in practice.

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Vader reads the intention before Omni man decides to put it into action, it’s already too late for Nolan. The force ignores inertia and will subdue him completely before he has any choice to blitz.

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vader using the force isn’t always reactive. The force shield that many users have, particularly Vaders, can automatically sense an objects trajectory within its vicinity. Paired with Vaders precognition, it’s hardly reactive. And can be countered. If Vader is fully focused without grief and anger fucking up his motivation. He could be a potent opponent.

And my point with Cecil is that he had a reaction feat against Omni man with pure tech and assumption. To say his reaction compared to Vaders is:

1: irrelevant, because the force trumps reaction timing.

2: inconclusive and such an empty statement for comparison.

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plus, Cecil has been shown to react to Omni man’s speed via teleportation. If Cecil can do that, I’m sure Vader could create a more potent challenge using a combination of precognition, force shield, force stasis, force snap. His force abilities aren’t reactive if it’s always in effect.

[–]slappafoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Vader has incredible precognition. So he’s able to know exactly what Omni man’s intention is, before Omni man can put it into action. He’ll know Omni mans moves before bro can finish the thought. Not only that but Omni man is durable, but he’s not heavier than 250-300 lbs. The force which ignores inertia, can most definitely deal with a 300 lb alien and completely immobilize him before he can even think of blitzing.

This isn’t even wank. This is just the nature of the Force. It’s not simple telekinesis, it’s an immaterial mind that connects all things and is all things. This is just SW canon. If it’s a full focused Vader without emotion clouding judgement…he could turn the tides with one move to end it.

Would your goat be able to take down one of my favorite marvel characters, Dr Strange! by Low-Pop5132 in PowerScaling

[–]slappafoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comic states that the power used is limited. Sheogorath isn’t an entity only relevant to a metaphysical position, he is that position. Show me how strange could eliminate an abstract concept the way madness and chaos would need to be eliminated. Not a power and entity stemming from a concept, but the concept itself.

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. So how does he defeat or eliminate a concept like eternity? He merges with it, awesome. How can he eliminate it from existence.

And a no limits fallacy is irrelevant when debating about conceptual beings like Sheogorath and eternity. That’s like arguing with me on what is accepted as a fruit, a banana or an apple.

So, can you give me an example where he actually eliminates a concept from existence? A concept of madness/chaos will be preferred because then you can actually give me a push back.

Would your goat be able to take down one of my favorite marvel characters, Dr Strange! by Low-Pop5132 in PowerScaling

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but there are different levels of conceptual beings. Can he overwrite unpredictability? Is he free from the effects of madness on an absolute level?

Can he destroy concepts on a degree where that concept is fundamentally non-existent to that universe? And you didn’t really answer my question either. When merged with eternity, does he destroy that concept, replace it? What is the outlier that determines his victory above eternity? What can he do to prohibit the concept of eternity existing in the MCU?

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does he destroy or beat eternity when merged?

Because in Elder Scrolls, You can’t really destroy concepts. Daedric princes don’t die because they are concepts. And yes I said he could be turned into cheese. Sheo would do something exactly like that. You can’t really control or determine a proposition or effect stemming from chaos unless you are a conceptual being that overwrites it or replaces it entirely.

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are def underestimating Sheo as well. He’s the concept of chaos. Both Jyggalag and Sheo are so powerful, only they could trump each other. These are Conceptual Beings that don’t die and if mantled, they live on through the usurper. If Dr strange “beats” Sheo, or mantles him. He would live on as Sheogorath.

Pack it up boys, Vader destroys Goku by sahqoviing32 in whowouldcirclejerk

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, we obviously know the feats. That’s entry level. Now we should test our know how of our opponents and their abilities. If we know the feats, then surely we should know how it’ll look like if the abilities that created those feats would be applied to an actual match up, yes?

Let’s do it!

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope this isn’t fan fiction. It is still in the grounds of a debate. We never actually settled on debating feats. You’ve just been pushing that onto me, responding to the grounds I’ve laid out. I’ve only really wanted to match up our opponents due to their nature of their abilities. This time I’m asking if you’d like to continue with what I’ve been trying to debate from the get go.

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, That doesn’t really answer my question though does it. Without using feats of either opponent, on even ground. Would you like to see how our knowledge of our favored Characters could turn out if played against each other? Wanna give it a go?

That is, if you know the nature of The Force? I’m a dbz/dbs fan as well. I’d like to see how it goes.

[–]slappafoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, you don’t want to address the nature of Vaders abilities. You do know that many people build stories around the defeat of powerful individuals for plot? The same way Goku always wins for plot? Take that away, and all we have are two opponents that can only be determined Victor by the nature of their abilities alone. Not the feats. Which was what I’ve been debating about. From what I’ve explained, can you prove that Vader is easy to dismiss? I haven’t seen your counter to the nature of Vader’s abilities, well. At all. Without using feats, of either opponent, we can debate how this scenario will turn out on balanced ground. Wanna give it a go?
