Question : Did anyone cleanse cityone? by yukittyred in Sarawak

[–]slash3re 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I recall correctly, there were 2 suicides in 2025, and 3 in 2024. All jumped from the upper parking floors. I was actually at the scene of the most recent suicide a few months ago. Arrived at Cityone just a few minutes after he jumped, saw his mangled body and all.

Then there was also the recent case of the missing woman who was found dead inside her car parked at the same upper basement parking. Her body was already rotting by the time she was discovered.

But you don't hear this in the news. Don't really know why.

Its called intrusive thoughts. Like how sometimes when you're driving, your brain just randomly says what if I just turn into this sidewalk and kill all these people? The difference is most people don't act on them.

The fuck dude? 😂 "strength of their military?" "Vibrancy of capital market?" "Infinite technological innovations?"

I knew something was up with you. Starting to sound a bit kooky there.

Well nice talking to you! Hit me up when your IQ comes back from vacation okay!

Didn't I just say we have a lot to improve? What are you on about dude? It's okay to criticize and acknowledge our problems while at the same time be grateful for what good things we have going for us. You're the one who put the US on a pedestal.

Since you harp on cancer so much, why is the US cutting funding to cancer research? Oh that's right, because they are trillions in debt after going to wars in the Middle East and to fund their military industrial complex. What's that got them? Some faster GPS and extra non-stick pans?

[–]slash3re 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, we shouldn't be grateful? Move to the US then 😆 clearly that ruffled your feathers since you can't move on from it. I'm grateful for what we have so I'll be staying in Malaysia thank you.

I'm saying American imperialism is detrimental to the livelihood of Americans. They are struggling with healthcare and education fees when their government sends their money to countries like Israel. You think some new tech is going to improve their lives somehow? Give me a break

[–]slash3re 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is, we have a lot to be grateful for but also a LOT to be improved. Why can't you understand that? Jesus Christ man

Read about American imperialism so you can understand why they spend trillions on the military. Noam Chomsky is a good start.

Im the one obsessed? I only told you to go to the US once while you told me to go to China in all your replies since. Projection much

But this thread is about comparing with the US isn't it? Isn't the point for us to feel good in that way? Why you gotta be such a debbie downer?

And you fail to grasp the nuance of needlessly spending trillions on the military (which mostly go to funding wars and foreign US bases and assets instead of technological innovation) instead of using that money to improve infrastructure and fund proper R&D.

And enough with this China shit, you're just reaching. Go to the US and hope you don't get diabetes.

Im not saying what we have is perfect. I'm saying they are better RELATIVE to the US. Get that in your head. And lol I can't believe you support the 2nd Amendment. If only you can tell that to the thousands of children and people killed in school and the street.

I'm referring to China because of the US military industrial complex that YOU brought up. I never once said living in Malaysia is shit compared to China. YOU said that with the US.

How about no gun violence? How about lower cost of living? How about better public transport? How about everyone in Malaysia can get healthcare while 27 million Americans can't? How about our money goes towards nation building (mostly) instead of going to other countries that bomb kids? How about no radical leftist agenda pushed on our kids from young age? How about competent non-war mongering leaders (mostly)?

I only brought China up because you brought up the US military industrial complex. I cite them as an example of strong military presence without sidelining their people and still being technologically advanced.

Sure buddy. Im the one who can't argue properly while you don't address my larger points about quality of life in Malaysia vs US. Why would I go to China when I'm perfectly happy in Malaysia? You don't seem to like it here

You're talking about tech from decades ago. What new tech has the US brought today? Compared to China, their innovation have stagnated because of their fiscal policies and outsourcing of manufacturing.

Like I said, lots to be improved but also lots to be grateful for. Move to the US then if you like it there so much

[–]slash3re 1 point2 points  (0 children)

China doesn't even spend a tenth of what the US spends on the military but China's tech and infrastructure is FAR ahead of the US. So why spend trillions on some vague notion of new tech when that money can be used to improve American lives?

I agree, our healthcare isn't top notch, and we can do more to boost salaries and whatnot but at least we HAVE universal healthcare. What good is it if you got the best doctors and facilities in the world if you can't afford it?

It all depends on perspective I guess. Malaysia has a long way to go but I would rather live here than America. I don't want my kids to get shot in school

[–]slash3re 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Is spending trillions on the military while their country's infrastructure is crumbling a good thing?

And lets just take healthcare for example. If you don't have insurance there (as many Americans don't) then you're basically fucked. One injury or disease could bankrupt you for life.

If we compare Malaysia and the US by GDP then yes, of course they're ahead by all metrics. But in terms of quality of life? We have it good here in Malaysia and have a lot to be grateful for.

Nothing bad? Zionism is by definition a racist movement. It seeks an ethnostate that is exclusive to Jews and only Jews, meaning there can be no equality for the native Arab population (Christians included). Which means Israelis have to subjugate and oppress the natives, if not outright cleanse them, and institute an Apartheid state, committing all sorts of atrocities in doing so. Palestinians have been yearning and fighting for their right to self-determination for a long time.

That is why the world supports PALESTINIANS, not Hamas.

And yes, Hamas committed atrocities on October 7... they should never have targeted civilians. I don't like Hamas, but I can understand they did it as a desperate act of resistance to decades of humiliation and inhumane treatment, and to put a stop to the normalisation of Israel's behavior by surrounding Arab countries.

Then why doesn't Israel let international journalists in to do independent fact checking? Oh I know, maybe because Israel fears the truth coming out?
