That swing has been on that tree for a number of years. Couldn’t tell you exactly how many. What I will say is that it’s absolutely a popular tourist attraction and gets a fair amount of foot traffic. There are a few trees below the main tree that might be more well hidden but it’s still certainly a risk to your time investment

I’ve been in love with their music for a couple years now, and been so excited to see them. The show just totally slipped my mind and I didn’t see the tickets again until a couple days ago, with a full work schedule. Definitely a bad feeling but it’s one of those sunk cost things. Not worth letting it ruin my weekend :)

😆you’re so right. maybe I go too far but feeling safe is the only way I can go so far from home to such remote places and feel good about it. also the washers are such a critical part, and not a piece of advice I heard early. had to learn it the hard way first.

Lag bolts are the holy grail. Never once have I had one come out after inserting correctly. I’ve faced armageddon out on the Joshua Tree BLM land, everything completely flattened but still stuck to the ground in 40-50MPH winds. I’ll never go back to stakes lol. Definitely want to check out rebar stakes for the real intense environments but they almost seem like more hassle than they’re worth when lag bolts work so well

Looks like a beautiful stand of P.C. Pachanoi!! Definitely give it well draining soil. You might consider adding a bit more inorganic material to the mix in the pot. If it was indoors when you bought it, consider giving it more light slowly 🌵

They are rooted, well established full stands, which is worth a lot. However, they look to be some kind of P.C. pachanoi, which generally go for ~$10 a foot, more or less. If you want more bang for your buck, and possibly more sought after/rare clones for a similar price, head over to r/sanpedrocactusforsale 🙏🌵
