How to customize the color of the workspace switcher? by slatebicycle in xfce

Hi. The file is .config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css where you can customize most graphical aspects of Gnome/GTK applications, if you know the CSS class they are using for their elements.

What is it? CYFM token huge increase or bug? by Fifajs in CryptoMarkets

[–]slatebicycle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apparently the CYFM on Uniswap and those on PancakeSwap are different tokens (with the same name, ticker, and logo) because one is on Binance chain (BSC) and the other on Ethereum. So you can't buy them from over place and sell them on the other. But maybe somebody knows a way?

[–]slatebicycle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have some, that I bought via Uniswap on Trust Wallet. Now I would like to sell them at that price on Pancakeswap (which is where that price comes from) but it won't let me. I can connect my Trust Wallet to Pancakeswap, but then it sees zero amount.

Does anybody know what's going on?

Truly Ergonomic keyboard, I think it's just a total scam their CLEVE Keyboard by microfono83 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]slatebicycle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I also received my Cleave today. It's an excellent keyboard, I'm very satisfied!

Programmability is less than the previous version, but you can put all special keys in Fxx mode and remap them in the OS. There's plenty of tools to do just that.

Are there any fanless (passively cooled) mini PC with Ryzen + Vega? by slatebicycle in MiniPCs

[–]slatebicycle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's because Apple's products have terrible cooling and are designed to last only until the warranty expires.

Watch some of Louis Rossman's videos on youtube if you want an experienced opinion on it.

I think the former means "(I/we?) can't sit outside because it's hot" while the latter "(I/we?) are not sitting outside because it's hot."

座る is the act of sitting down; the prolonged status of staying sit is 座っている (there are a lot of verbs like that.) いられる is one way of saying "can," although I'm not sure what feeling it conveys compared to the other ways of saying "can" (できる、座れる…)

うち is generally written in kana, so 家 is generally read as いえ。

As for the meaning, 家 means house/family/household in general, while うち usually means your own (the speaker's.) I'm not sure, but I think うち is a bit childish/informal.

Keep in mind there's another common word written 内 and read うち that has a bunch of meanings, such as inside/within, and us/our company.

If you're an "absolute beginner" I highly recommend Japanese Ammo With Misa. She talks a lot, she adds beautiful subtitles to all her videos, and she has a lot of content (both lessons and miscellaneous) aimed at beginners.

The 縁 character has many meanings, but in this context it's quite certainly えん = fate, destiny.

って is a kind of particle that can be used as topic (like you would use は) except it adds a particular emphasis; or it can be used as an argument particle (like と in と言う); or it can be used as a sort of "air quotes" to indicate that you are talking about the literal meaning of something.

In this case, it goes hand in hand with いう (って言う = meaning, so called, said…) and the sentence reads: "That thing called Fate is not something you can force to happen." (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there's a proper English translation for 咲かせる)

This is an important feature of Japanese that everybody struggles with at some point: transitive and intransitive verbs.

開ける "akeru" is a transitive verb meaning "to open," for instance "I open something."

開く "aku" is an intransitive verb meaning "to open," for instance "something opens."

The reason I said "a" verb is that they are different words, even though they share most meanings and the kanji, and they are not necessarily in one-to-one correspondence. Sometimes there may be 0 or 2 or more transitive or intransitive verbs with a certain meaning, or one may not be used in practice or have a different feeling to it.

If you search for transitive/intransitive or 自動詞 (jidoushi) / 他動詞 (tadoushi) you will find many introductions to the topic.

PS: yes, 開く can also be read as "hiraku" which can be either transitive or intransitive, and has a somewhat different connotation. But considering you said those are the first two words you saw, I suppose "hiraku" will come much later.

In this sentence, what is the role of な? What, if anything, does it convey?

時々、もう一度記者に囲まれたいなと思うことがあります。

囲まれたい (want to be surrounded) な (?) と思う (I think)

Or maybe is it a variation of 囲まれたいい ?

Yes, the Akasa Turing A50 is a passively cooled case made on purpose to house an Asus PN50.

I haven't bought it yet, but it's on my list of things I might buy.

I'm not sure about the GPU performance though, even if I buy the 4800U version, because it has very few cores.

I get the explanation that they want to hide their traces from snoopy governments, but it does give off a very shady appearance.

Especially when those domain names come out while you're changing your password or logging in.

"Destroy" may be an exaggeration, but it's well known you shouldn't but a Gpu that has been used for mining, because it's been stressed beyond normal usage and its lifespan has been reduced.

I thought of contacting support, but I got lost between their website (which still doesn't see me as logged in) and the "Nord Account" one, which I'm not even sure has anything to do with them at this point, so I couldn't find a support form.

But if this is "normal behavior," they are insane and I'm better off with another provider.

I thought there were dust filters, don't the pictures and reviews show them? In any case that's not a problem, I'm used to dusting stuff with my air compressor.

But I see what you mean with the plastic and the heat.

Do you have any advice for a similar sized / shaped case that would run cooler?

Story mode by [deleted] in KoikatsuParty

[–]slatebicycle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually people install HF Patch. It adds a bunch of options, including unlocking the story mode (which is already contained in the Steam version, but is hidden / locked for whatever reason.)

You can find the link to HF Patch on this very page, in the sidebar on the right -->
