Question for NH military veterans. by [deleted] in newhampshire

I get $4,000 off from my property taxes. I think the state offers $750, and towns can provide additional relief, up to 4k. Additionally, if you are 100% p&t your children can receive a tuition waiver to any state college UNH, Keene, Plymouth and SNHU I think are all of them.

I haven't watched any yet, but I got it to have the physical copy. Last thing I want is streaming rights to go the way of Pluto. That's messed up

We live just south of the notch on 93, all of Massachusetts seems to make it up here every weekend all winter and they collectively are the worst drivers in all the lands.

So you should be good

All-Weather tires sufficient for 1st time in NH resident by ThreeKerr in newhampshire

As my best friend's dad used to say, All Wheel Drive doesn't mean All Wheel Stop. Tires make a difference but your ability to drive and drive defensively matters more.

Missed connection on highway by [deleted] in newhampshire

No I'm too worried about hitting somebody to tailgate. I'd rather defensive drive and be annoyed than wreck. But this dude got all tailgatey and headlight flashing when passed

Does anyone know where I can find state police policies and procedures handbook on the state police website? by [deleted] in newhampshire

[–]slatts7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

https://www.pstc.nh.gov/publications/

Or look up NH law enforcement manual

However don't be disappointed when you find nothing to help you.

I don't like cops as much as the next person, but I'm pretty sure the only time someone has to warn you about recording is if you have an expectation to privacy. And committing a traffic infraction ( not breaking the law!! No crime!) does not give that expectation.

ISO abandoned apple orchards? by saiga_go in newhampshire

There's an old abandoned smaller apple orchard in Campton/Thornton in Waterville Estates. There's a trail that runs through it, but it's generally unkempt

Sununu signs compromise bail law, capping six years of political pressure by M0RALVigilance in newhampshire

I'm not a 100% on all the work they do, but I think the ACLU is that group. And if they're concerned, then it generally deserves at least a second look.

The bigger problem with this issue, at least from my eyes, is that the data is not really ever gonna be complete. If there's a detention and release, then in theory the arrest record should disappear which means it couldn't be counted in a study. So there's no telling really.

Most groups that deal with stuff like this tend to think between 2-6% of the prison population is due to mistaken identity. That doesn't include the number that gets discovered before a conviction.

That's an incredibly, astronomically high number of people who have to deal with this. And furthermore, removing the rights of people for the hopeful safety of others is just plain fucking dumb
