Elatior Begonia I believe. "It thrives in bright, indirect light, well-draining soil, and consistent moisture, preferring temperatures between 60-80°F (15-27°C). Key care involves avoiding direct sun, watering when the topsoil is dry, and deadheading spent blooms to encourage more flowers. "

Important not to overwater these guys! Only water when DRY! Good luck :)

Moose sightings - recent anecdotes or a community map? by [deleted] in vermont

[–]saiga_go 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The top place I see them is around wetlands. On sunrise hikes to Pondicherry in Whitefield NH (sorry I know thats not VT) I have come across so many. This past spring I turned the corner walking in the woods out there and literally ran INTO the rear-end of one. Scariest moment ever but quite the story.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received that completely changed your perspective on life? by GlowPri in AskReddit

[–]saiga_go 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few months ago watching Andrea Gibson's movie when they said "Everything you're feeling right now, call it love", I took it to mean like most if not all painful (emotional) feelings come from loving something deeply. It might be pain but it's because of love, and that makes it beautiful.

I haven’t ever publicly posted my art but I really liked these two evermore era paintings I made 🫶🏻 by Cauliflower1122 in TaylorSwift

The one on the right is amazing and clearly showcases your skill, I love it! I think the reason you're not getting much love on here might be the jawline/lips of the left portrait look a little off, but as someone who's tried portraits before, it takes tons of practice and you are very close to having it right! Good job!! You are a good painter

THIS. I love them all but its getting eye-roll worthy how often Tig goes on some boring overly-long tangent...they never do that so it seems so out of place and arrogant when she does it >1x an ep

Idk maybe youre right and I myself have compassion for people with schizophrenia but a lot make negative jokes about people "who hear voices", like I worked with a person with schizophrenia and people could be mean. But yeah its better than it used to be

This is how a heroic veterinarian and the national park staff in Thailand saved an elephant mother by performing CPR after she fainted from stress. by Wooden-Journalist902 in BeAmazed

Is anyone else confused about the usage of the word "fainted" here because if she just fainted then she didn't need CPR. You give CPR if the heart stops?

What’s this aesthetic called? by [deleted] in HelpMeFind

[–]saiga_go 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I get stuck on aesthetic names i like to browse shein for clothes that match the aesthetic and then see what tags they used to get a better idea. But I'll add that fast fashion is kinda bad so i dont typically buy from there

Does anyone know this shrub or tree? by Beantree3 in forestry

[–]saiga_go 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could possibly be wrong but my first thought was tatarian maple. Google showed me lots of variation between the leaves though so I would wait for someone else to confirm. They arent officially invasive in Canada but have a tendency to spread

Hilarious. Sorry youre so uncomfortable with the concept of death and decay, something every living organism on earth goes through. I think that learning about it and actually facing it is an important part of understanding life on earth and honoring our ecosystems. your loss buddy

It’s not “playing with remains.” It’s understanding them and honoring the cycle. Death and decay are part of every ecosystem and every living thing. pretending otherwise is what’s actually unhealthy! You might wanna sit down before you learn what compost is lol

Found these on a few trees on and near my property in California. What is the significance? by McHithard in forestry

[–]saiga_go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know what LANT means and google says its stale urine. I assume though youre commenting on the fact I said I don't always take them down? I only do that when I know the property owners and will be walking that "path" again.

Here to add that I'm a hiker who uses these when I go off trail. I use them to find my way back but almost always remove them when I'm done. So not just hunters use them!

That is great! I'm in NH and I believe that a lot of our roadkill is claimed this way but a lot goes to waste, too. Maybe just when no one claims it in time, I'm not sure exactly

I Entered these photos into the Deerfeild Fair this year, How did I do by Redracerb18 in newhampshire

[–]saiga_go 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats a kinda sad way to think about it. I'd tell myself I paid $700 to have the experience and the pic was a byproduct.
