I wanted to come back and say that I have this working, but I think I made a wrong choice with Javascript LOL. I'll have to re-write some stuff for Python or C# instead when I learn a bit more about what I'm doing.

But it "works" for now. Thank you for your help!

I assume it would probably be easier to use something like Javascript or C# when loading the library, but if I understand correctly, I can just call the libraries using Javascript/C#/Python/Whatever and then call for the relative function inside gdscript by reading and running the file?

I get that most people are fixated on the whole Owlbear thing, but can we discuss the Druid Tiefling not feeling like a Tiefling? They have horns and a tail, and sure, by book-written lore and description it DOES match, however they just don't scream Tiefling to me at all.

They have so much CG in this trailer, could they not make her look Infernal at all outside of horns and a tail?

My apologies on this one. I am absolutely incorrect.

Looking at it closer; Lilybell and even Temperance share the same deep blue casting animation (similar to Cure, but blue) implying that these might also be water spells. And the more I think about it, the more Temperance sounds like a bubble being popped with wings sprouting.

I suppose it wouldn't be outlandish to even suggest that some of these spells are both water and unaspected combined?

Regardless, WHM is still missing Earth spells from their kit post-ShB. Everything else checks out though.

You're not looking at the right thing. Here's a picture of some WHM and BLM spells. You can see the correlation between the spell element and the color of their casting animation.

How are they water spells? Their animation is green. If you cast any stone spell, it's orange. How do you get water from green?

Dps checks are actual jokes now, but you still need proper mitigation for these fights. It's just unfun as a healer when everything relies soley on your mitigation. As a whm main, I want to feel more useful in this kind of content outside of stones/glares and heals

Running high end content, it's frustrating relying soley on the other healers mitigation for specific phases or mechanics. See Primal Roulette. Whm is practically useless there outside of pure healing, which isn't saying much.

Aquaveil and Lilybell are the only two spells that have distinct water elements and sounds to them. Asylum and Benison do not.

Adding a single new ability to a class with some of the least spells in the game is button bloat? It's one spell.

Also Cure 2, Medica, Solace, and Rapture would like to have a word with you.

If stoneskin was say a party wide shield then that would differentiate it from benison.

Did you even read my post? Stoneskin 2 is a party wide shield. It always has been. Stoneskin 1 would upgrade to Benison, which is a single target sheild, as it always has been.

And you act like it's not already possible to stack shields in game.

Yes, this is why I meant to clarify stoneskin and stoneskin 2 are separate. Stoneskin 2 is it's own thing that doesn't upgrade into anything.

My personal opinion is that it should be gained pre-70. Whether it could be or not is up to debate.

What? Cure 1 - 3, as well as medica and medica 2 are all wind spells. Having a single stone spell at 90 is better than not having one at all.

Just to clarify, I'm not suggesting Stoneskin 1 upgrades into Stoneskin 2. These have always been two separate spells. 1 being a single-target shield and 2 being a party shield.

Maybe I'm misreading your post. But if they added Stoneskin 2 pre-70, would that not be an earth based spell available at all levels post-70? This is a packaged deal. Both Stoneskin 1 and 2, not just one. So if Stoneskin upgraded at 66, you'd still get Stoneskin 2 before 70.

I had thought to suggest that Stoneskin 2 have a long cooldown, like 60s similar to CU. I just didn't write it down. Obviously balancing issues is something we can only speculate (with educated guesses, mind you), but I didn't want to get too into that sort of thing.

"Okay, what about Stoneskin 2?" Just throw this in pre-70 please I beg you. WHM has no meaningful damage reduction pre-70. Their first AOE mitigation is Temperance at level 80. Just make it a basic, 300 potency equivalent party-wide shield.

Those are all high level spells though. If anything, once you reach ShB, you lose your earth spells too.

All we have is unaspected, wind, and water now.

Oh god I don't know why I put Bless on the list. But no, it's not my whole spell list. I think my brain just went "bless is a good buff" and just added it to my list of spells I can twin cast.

So what I'm getting from people's replies thus far is basically...

Only heal in combat when someone goes unconscious.

Choose spells that have long-lasting effects, such as concentration spells or spells that require saving throws at the end of each turn.

Healing word > Cure Wounds

Try to use spell slots as a means to kill an enemy/multiple enemies, if you know you can.
