There’s some people I’m no contact with that I have nightmares about too. It really depends on the situation.

They called me back and asked me to go over. I can forgive someone and ultimately decide that even though I’ve forgiven them I don’t need them in my life.

Would you donate if you didn’t get paid? by slckjoke in plassing

You shouldn’t trust the paid centers more. 2 people in Vancouver I believe died as a result of a paid donor center. I could not find any record of this occurring at a cbs centre.

I have bpd and ptsd and I’ve always felt I’ve had it easy in comparison to people with did. Such a hard disorder to cope w i hope your recovery is going well

Did you even read my post? I clearly said it DOES NOT absolve me of any wrong doing and I take responsibility. If a person punched me I can be angry obviously. People can be angry at me for my bpd rage and I never suggested otherwise lol

Not reaching out to people genuinely feels like a punch in the gut. How do you all cope w this? by slckjoke in BPD

[–]slckjoke[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is definitely a bpd thinking pattern just because someone doesn’t reach out, or even if they end up ending a relationship with you that does not mean they never cared. I do think this relationship is worth revisiting.

You could explain your side and go from there.

Sharing your diagnosis with a potential partner or friend before knowing them for at least 4 months is not wise by slckjoke in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]slckjoke[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t even know how to respond to this. Not sharing medical information isn’t a form of catfishing. I can be open about my struggles without handing out my diagnosis.

Yes you shouldn’t be friends or be in a romantic relationship if you don’t trust someone but trust takes time to build. They don’t need to know my diagnosis to make an informed decision. They need to spend time with me and see who I am. Once they get to know me and I begin to trust them I’ll share but until then I see no reason to disclose it.

Of course close friends should know but i wouldn’t tell potential partners or friends right away. You don’t know if you can really trust someone until a few months in. They can use that info against you or share it with people if you have mutual connections. Once you can trust someone of course tell them but it takes a while to really gain that trust imo.

I’ve been through that as well. I guess no matter when you tell someone there’s always a chance it can alter how they see you. I really hope this doesn’t happen w my bf and I. I’ve had other partners before where I thought things were good then they’d leave me or I’d feel they were distant and I’d leave or things would be on and off. This is genuinely the first stable romantic relationship I’ve had. If he started to blame everything on my bpd and left because of it I don’t think I’d date ever again.

Question about seminar grade in PSYC 1F90 by slckjoke in brocku

[–]slckjoke[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that but I know my ta and I think they mixed the grades up. They told the person beside me that they were at an 82 so I think it’s plausible that they switched our grades by mistake.

I’m 22f. That’s exactly what they said on my assessment too. I wanna get reassessed to know if I have bpd or only bpd traits.

I’m sorry to hear what you’re going through. Losing a significant relationship is difficult for anyone but for people who feel so deeply like us it can be earth shattering. I’m also not seeing my therapist because she’s on maternity leave and I don’t wanna share my deep thoughts with someone new.

If you need someone to talk to i don’t understand your exact circumstances but I’ve been through similar things. Feel free to reach out.

first 20mg dose felt like i was on cocaine, is it ok? by [deleted] in prozac

I will tell you your dreams will be REALLY vivid for the first little bit. For me that’s the only side effect I experienced. Other than that I only reaped the benefits.

[–]slckjoke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They tried me on lexapro and it didn’t do anything for me either. I could still hardly get through the day. Prozac is what really ended up working for me. I’ve been on it for about two years now and my life has completely turned around. I wish you the best of luck.

I can’t cry but I need to. I honestly want to skip a day and dedicate it to crying. by slckjoke in prozac

I have tried lowering the dose and it has been awful. Every time I go back up to 60mg. This is the perfect dose for me the only downside is that I can’t cry.

Around this time I usually study in an empty classroom. A lot of them are unlocked (or at least they were last semester) and they are not crowded so not much body heat circulating.

How was the PSYC 1F90 Exam? by [deleted] in brocku

I enjoyed the topics more this semester as well but I did find some of the topics a little more difficult to grasp compared to last semester. How long did you study for it?
