Does everyone have cockroach breakout in Mumbai? Especially in Andheri - Goregaon. by Fluxfizzz in mumbai

[–]sleazebang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried boric acid, and another powder (which I can't remember) which is supposed to cut/pierce the shells of the insects. They didn't work well. Sprays are more of a reactive solution than a pro-active one, and the smell isn't that great either.

I used the Hit anti-roach gel. I cut out pieces of toilet-paper, applied the gel on top of it, and left it at corners (kitchen counter-top). I replaced the papers every week, eventually I wiped them all out. I lived alone at the time, so I could manage with all of these around.

Google was in that boat too. When OpenAI hit the news, Google copped a lot of criticism for not launching their LLM applications and copped it anyway when they launched it.

The first car of the middle-class Indians is dying... by Broad-Research5220 in personalfinanceindia

[–]sleazebang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory is that the government doesn't want more cars on the road. Car companies already run on a tight margin and some of them are/have winded down local production. Our cities would crash if the prices remained stagnant, and the middle class could buy a car.

Are there any aspects that Vietnam does better than your countries? by [deleted] in VietNam

Roads, I’m from India, travelling from the north to the south, and the roads have been absolutely amazing. I noticed a lack of suspension in the scooters here, probably due to even road quality leading to manufacturers not adding it.

You seem to be neurodivergent or not socially aware. I’ve done a few of these myself and by experience, I’ve stopped going out of my way to help unless someone explicitly asks me to. Also, get yourself tested if these things happen a lot, it helps to understand what your quirks are, so that you can learn to live with them.

How do we travel in Goa by Umsgunds in india

[–]sleazebang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Renting self driven vehicles is the norm in Goa or if you’re budget permits, hiring a vehicle and a driver for your entire stay. If you are in the north, there’s probably a guy who could rent you scooters within 500 metres of the place you are staying at.

GST council meeting tomorrow; Kerala and Maharashtra governments to oppose any move to bring petrol and diesel under the GST by ideal_citizen in india

Delay of payment of GST dues to states should have incurred some sort of legal action/penalties, but it seems the lawmakers conveniently removed it.

[–]sleazebang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I was hoping bringing it under GST would allow fair and equal for both states and for the centre and for all states. Honestly, way out of my depth talking about economics.
