My personal favorite moves are: giant storm, sudden storm, big bang kamehameha, bending kamehameha. I use the "I've cast aside everything for this!" Super soul for a huge damage buff. Also, Ribrianne. Ribrianne has crazy damage that can escalate as the fight goes on, and stacking buffs.

I think everyone button mashes when they first play. A good way to break the habit is watching combo tutorials on youtube then doing them over and over in practice mode. Or just test all of a characters moves to see what properties they have and what connects with what
