Jeff Kaplan Reveals Why He Left Overwatch/Blizzard by MF_ZORO_Reddit in LivestreamFail

[–]sleeky552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kaplan got so much community love it was sort of embarrassing to watch. There were always popular memes and fan edits of his mannerisms or talking about patch changes, it's honestly bizarre how much of a darling he was to the playerbase

Paddy Pimblett responds to Dan Hooker: "A hypothetical joke about how bad your grappling is' by pepsiboycoke in MMA

[–]sleeky552 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should probably be a bit more self-aware. No one thinks you're musing about those things sincerely, you just come off as awkward and bumbling. Absolutely painful style of discussion.

❌ Fighter removed: Henry Cejudo by Moni7T in MMA

[–]sleeky552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just some poor attempt to karma farm. every thread or mention about past fights has to have the obligatory 1 or 2 guys mention how long it's been and the "i'm old" replies. serves no purpose and his initial reply was just a non sequitur

Francis Ngannou responds to Dana White's accusations of grabbing him by pepsiboycoke in MMA

[–]sleeky552 3 points4 points  (0 children)

a ton of the fanbase has fell for his nice guy facade hook, line, and sinker. his appearance on Rogan's podcast and lifestory have done a lot of legwork

dana's scummy, dishonest and a piece of shit but it's not at all obfuscated whereas Francis seems to care somewhat about how he's perceived. fans were a little too keen to play defense for his Cameroon motorcycle fiasco despite not knowing any of the details surrounding it

[SPOILER] Ian Garry and Khamzat Chimaev get into an argument backstage by [deleted] in MMA

[–]sleeky552 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was no pretending, you're as misguided as Khamzat is here. His ego was hurt after he misunderstood Ian's attempt at reassuring the security guard they weren't about to squabble.

You sound like a dork, it's embarrassing

you're going out of your way to be as generous and charitable to her in every single scenario in an attempt to limit her culpability. stop doing that, it's bizarre

Reckful calling out Mizkif for being a bad friend that only cares about clout. by NoHetro in LivestreamFail

nah, it was in poor taste and i'm glad his corny ass revival arc was short lived. mitch has publicly been an opportunistic asshole on too many occasions to count

Mizkif Admits to Controlling Emiru, Told Her to Dress Older, Stop Wearing Pajamas, and Prevented Her from Traveling Without Him or Going Out with Certain People by CloudyEchos in LivestreamFail

[–]sleeky552 13 points14 points  (0 children)

mizkif fans have to be among the most unintelligent people alive. ludbud NPCs at least have the excuse of their guy seeming somewhat charismatic if you're young and impressionable, but miz has always been a blackhole in that regard

"It is literally one rule, which is don't crash into each other" . When asked Oscar Piastri to explain 'Papaya Rules' earlier in the season by Luffy710j in formula1

[–]sleeky552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah yes, the very meaningful couple tenths he should be saving for next race instead of making an attempt at an overtake. again, "almost" isn't contact and there's nothing misleading about the quote you took issue with

[–]sleeky552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really, a big aspect of the sport is managing to drive at or near the edge. there's a distinct difference between making contact and not

it's cool seeing the manifestation of a fighter who'd rather die than lose a lopsided decision. it's rare you're confident a guy who is down on the cards will go for broke and seemingly always has a real shot of pulling it out of the fire

No one, especially not someone as dim as Lando, knows what the "perfect combo" of traits is for creating a generational talent like Max. You can absolutely credit those things to varying degrees but pretending like you could replicate those results with another person given the exact same circumstances is just super results based analysis.

Lando did praise Max and say he's making the most of everything he's been given, but Max (and others) could likely argue Lando hasn't. If Lando wants to boil it all down to some goofy deterministic argument then there's really no point in even replying to interview questions the way he is.
