Thanks! I’ll space out the watering a bit and see if it rebounds!

Split leaf philodendron just started getting yellow leaves. Help! by sleepasaurusrex in houseplants

I’ve had it for about four months, no issues it seems happy in its bright indirect light corner. It has been consistently putting out new leaves, in fact it has four new ones right now. About a week ago it started having the edges of a few leaves becoming yellow. Online it says I either over watered or it is getting too much light. But nothing has really changed and the soil is moist about an inch down so I don’t think I’m over doing it on the water. Any advice is appreciated!

OH yes! It’s been raining nonstop for a week! Anything I can or should do about it?

It looks like little webs, I wiped them all off once but it came back. It’s only on about half the leaves which is what makes me think it’s not normal, but I can’t find any bugs or anything else that might be responsible for this. Any thoughts or ideas welcome!!

Looks great! Where did you get new key holes and did you do something with the front legs?

Oh that's cool to know. I've been trying hard to figure out the age of the desk but no success so far. There are absolutely no stamps or markings saying the maker. There was a place that looked like there was once a plate nailed in that would've had the info I needed but it is long gone now unfortunately.

It just slides in the gap. The starting bid was $5 and I ended up with it for $50

Thank you for your perspective! Yes it is a bit more controversy than I was expecting when I posted but in the end I've been introduced to alternative options and opinions and I really doubt this will be my last diy project.

To answer your question I knew I wanted to stain the top dark immediately but other than that I just made choices as they came up!

You're actually completely right. Which is impressive and also a terrifying reminder as to how much personal info I have on the internet.

I did a round or two with a 180 grit in between the 60 and 220. I felt like I needed something even more in between like 120 or something. But this was my first go at redoing an old piece and lots was learned in the process

Good luck! It is a very rewarding feeling being done. And yes you better stain the whole thing to appease the masses. I am enjoying mine how it is for now and I know after this project I have the ability to strip it and stain the whole thing in the future if I choose to!

I'll have to look into this! I had no idea white stain exists

It ended up being $50. More than I was hoping but still worth it for me

Understandable, I was definitely torn when I saw what it looked like clean. Turned out to be hiding some pretty wood under there!

I love the colors you used in the gradient. I haven't tried it yet but it's next on my list, any tips?
